2013 B/G 16 Intersectional Team Championship (Clay) Level 1

ARRIVAL DATE: FRIDAY, JULY 5TH
ALL SELECTED PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO ARRIVE IN SHREVEPORT ON FRIDAY, JULY 5TH.Mike Kennedy and the coach will be at the Shreveport LA Airport on Friday, July 5th starting at approximately 10 am in order to pick all the players up from the in Shreveport LA Airport in the morning. ALL PLAYERS MUST BE IN SHREVEPORT, LA NO LATER THAN 2:00PM ON FRIDAY JULY 5TH. WE WILL HAVE TWO (2) TRAINING SESSIONS, ONE ON FRIDAY JULY 5TH AND ANOTHER ON SATURDAY, JULY 6TH AT PIERREMONT OAKS TENNIS CLUB. PARENTS ARE NOT ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THIS EVENT. As in the past, we will be housing the players with host families from the club. All the boys will be housed together with a host family and all the girls will be housed together with a host family.
We will be staying at CLARION HOTEL Friday night until the Host Families pick the players up late afternoon on Saturday late afternoon on Saturday July 6th. The telephone number at the Clarion Hotel is 318-797-9900. In addition, the USTA MS section will pay for the hotel rooms on Friday July 5th.
It is also a nice gesture to bring a gift for the host families who will be responsible for transporting you to the event and taking care of most of your off court needs during the week.
Everyone will all be DEPARTING at the conclusion of the event from the Shreveport Airport on Friday, JULY 12TH very early in the morning.
At your earliest convenience, please email me at kennedy@ms.usta.com , and give me your specific airline travel arrangements complete with flight number(s) so that I will make sure I am available to assist you with all of your needs and to try to make you as comfortable as possible throughout your entire stay. I would like to know each players flight information no later than two weeks before start of the event inorder for us to pick up each player from baggage claim at the airport, have a team meeting, and to arrange practice times.
Your intersectional team uniforms will be at my hotel when I arrive. I will make sure, during our team meeting, that you will have all your necessary clothing for the tournament. At that time, I will be glad to answer any questions that you may have regarding the tournament and scheduling for the week. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING THEIR CURRENT USTA CARDS WITH THEM TO THE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!
If there are any special conditions, i.e. allergies, recent injuries, special meals etc., please let me know. There is a certified trainer on site, for the players.
It is a good idea to bring about $100.00 with you for racquet restringing and misc. items.
