Congratulations on being selected to attend this advanced one-day training camp for16/18s at Topspin Racquet Club. We look forward to hosting a great event for our older junior players and offering the opportunity to learn more about collegiate tennis.

Head Coaches: Carlos Lozano & Toby Simpson
The head coaches for this event will be Carlos Lozano and Toby Simpson. Both of these coaches have collegiate playing experience and have coached high level players on the State, Sectional, and National levels. They are also members of the USTA SC Player Development Committee.
Lozano is the Director of Tennis at Topspin Racquet & Swim Club in Lexington, SC. As a junior player, he won numerous state and regional events and was a nationally ranked player in both singles and doubles. During his collegiate career at Brigham Young University ('99-'03), he was the #1 player in Singles & Doubles and was an All-American in doubles his junior year. He also played on Mexico's Davis Cup team in 2001, and still enjoys playing competitively in league tennis at the National Championships.
Simpson is currently the Director of Tennis Instruction/ Programming at the Country Club of Charleston, a position he has held since 2012. He was a teaching professional at Kiawah Island Golf Resort for 1 year prior to coming to the Country Club of Charleston. He served on The Citadel's coaching staff for10 years, nine of which he was the head coach of the Bulldogs, where he produced numerous All-Southern Conference players in addition to his teams reaching stellar academic achievement. Prior to his decade-long stint at The Citadel, he coached at Penn State (1 year) and his alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi (2 years). During his collegiate career, he achieved a #52 national ranking, was All-Conference USA three times, and helped his team reach the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history. In 1997 he was named USM Sportscare tennis student/athlete of the year. After his collegiate career, he spent a summer playing professionally in Europe, playing German club tennis as well as Futures and money tournaments throughout Europe. He is a USTA High Performance Certified Coach.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, April 23, 2013 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
