USTA/MIDWEST SECTION PLAYER MULTIPLE ENTRY GUIDELINES FOR DUAL PAIRED LEVEL 1/3 AND LEVEL 2/4 TOURNAMENTS ON THE SAME WEEKEND:You must read this document before signing up for this event. You are no longer allowed to sign up for both events on the same weekend till after the selections for the higher level event have been posted. If you are a Competitor of the higher level event (Level 1 or 2), you will not be allowed to sign up for the lower level event (Level 3 or 4). We will have limited Friday night practice courts available betweem 7 and 9 p.m. at no charge. First come first serve, with players getting first priority to use the courts followed by parents/coaches. Saturday, Sunday and Monday we will have no charge courts available to warmup from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Players have first priority followed by coaches/parents. Matches that start later on Saturday may book warm-up courts by calling 847-884-0678 AFTER WEDNESDAY, FEB. 13 AT 7 P.M. CST to book these courts. Available 30 minute times beginning at 9:30, 10, 10:30 and 11. You will be charged $10 if you do not use a warm-up court that you have booked. Only players may sign up for courts. Coaches/parents may warm up juniors if there is space on the court. Sunday and Monday warm up courts will be availalbe at no charge from 7 to 7:45 a.m.

Main Draw will play two out of three full sets and Consolation will play a Matchtiebreak (Supertiebreak) in lieu of the third set. Two matches a day for the Main Draw and up to three matches per day for the Consolation. The FIC Consolation does not finish and it will stop at the Semi-finals due to the tournament lasting only three days.

The tournament concludes on Monday. By signing up for the tournament you agree to play the entire tournament to its conclusion. If you MUST go to school or parents MUST go to work on Monday, DO NOT sign up for this event even if you think that yuo will not be playing on Monday. You must be injured, ill or there must be an emergency for you to withdraw. The tournament has the right to request proof from a Doctor for an medical withdrawl.

All USTA/Midwest Sectional and Designated Tournaments will adhere to the following Seeding and Selection Criteria as set by the USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition Committee. Players will be selected based on the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List at the time of the tournament entry deadline. Players will be selected by the following 1. Eight (8) players from the top 100 of the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in next lower division (except in the boys and girls 12s divisions where 4 players will be selected) 2. 56 players from the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the current age division of the event (except in the boys and girls 12s division where 60 players will be accepted) Remaining vacancies and/or alternates will be selected from the USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the division of the event. Alternates will be numbered with this Midwest Standings List. Seeding will be done based on the USTA/Midwest Section Standing List the following week.

All Main Draw matches will be full 2 out of 3 full sets with a tiebreak at 6 games all and all Consolation matches will play a Matchtiebreak (Supertiebreak) in lieu of the third set with advantage scoring in all matches. Some players in the Consolation may be playing up to three matches in a day. A player will be entitled to a three minute break after splitting sets and before playing the Matchtiebreak. The player is allowed to talk to a coach or parent, make a phone call, etc. We recommend you DO NOT leave the court because of the short time frame, and we will allow coaches, parents, etc to talk with you behind the court curtain in the tennis hallway but not on the court.

SATURDAY SUNDAY MONDAY Play begins at 8am. Saturday play begins at 8 a.m. the Main Draw will play Rd of 64 and Rd of 32 matches followed by the Qualifying Rd of 32 FIC Sunday play begins at 8am. Main Draw will play Rd of 16 and Quarters. FIC will play the Rd of 32 FIC, Qualifying Rd of 16 and Rd of 16. Monday play begins at 8am. Main Draw will play Semi-Finals, Finals or 3/4 Playoff. FIC will play the Qualifying Quarters, Quarters. The Semi-Finals and Finals of the FIC will not be played out.

The USTA Legal Department has determined that they cannot provide contact information to tournament directors unless the customer provides the contact information during the registration process. Previously the home phone number and email address were pre-filled from the USTA Membership database when a player went through the online registration process. The pre-fill was removed due to privacy concerns. If you don't provide an email address and/or telephone number when you register for this tournament then we will be unable to notify you about any possible changes in the tournament.

The USTA/Midwest Section Closed Junior Championships, the district qualifiers, the USTA/Midwest Section Designated Tournaments and USTA/Midwest Section Junior Davis & Wightman Cup events are open to citizens of the U.S., permanent resident aliens in possession of a valid alien registration card, individuals who are applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status and who can present a USCIS receipt for a pending unadjudicated form I-485, aliens who have resided continuously in the US for more than one year and who are members of families of persons in the diplomatic or consular corps and aliens who have been granted Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary Protected Status.
