LEVEL 3 MIDWEST USTA POINTS PER ROUND AND NO
NATIONAL POINTS PER ROUND
TOURNAMENT WILL BE A 32 DRAW SINGLES AND INCLUDE A
FEED-IN CONSOLATION.
Due to this being a two day event, the Main Draw and Consolation
will play a Matchtiebreak (Supertiebreak) in lieu of the third set,
with up to three matches a day for both the Main Draw and
Consolation. The Main Draw will be completed and the FIC
consolation will stop at the Finals.

GUIDELINES FOR DUAL PAIRED LEVEL 1/3 AND LEVEL 2/4 TOURNAMENTS ON
THE SAME WEEKEND:
You must read this document before signing up for this event. You
are no longer allowed to sign up for both events on the same
weekend till after the selections for the higher level event have
been posted. If you are a Competitor of the higher level event
(Level 1 or 2), you will not be allowed to sign up for the lower
level event (Level 3 or 4). Click here

REMINDER: THIS IS A TWO DAY EVENT
This tournament takes place on Saturday and Sunday and was created
primarily for those players not able to make the draw of the Level
1 taking place on the same weekend. It was also created for those
players and families who do not want to miss school and/or work,
therefore finishing on Sunday. This will create many matches in two
days, all Matchtiebreaks with the FIC not finishing to
completion
PLAYER SELECTION AND NUMBERED ALTERNATE LIST WILL
BE POSTED BY FRIDAY , FEBRUARY 8TH BY 6PM
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION SEEDING & SELECTION
CRITERIA
All USTA/Midwest Sectional and Designated Tournaments will adhere
to the following Seeding and Selection Criteria as set by the
USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition Committee. Players will be
selected based on the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing
List at the time of the tournament entry deadline. Players will be
selected by the following 1. Four (4) players from the top 100 of
the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in next lower
division (
except in the boys and girls 12s divisions
where 2 players will be selected) 2. 28 players from the most
current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the current age
division of the event (except in the boys and girls 12s division
where 30 players will be accepted) Remaining vacancies and/or
alternates will be selected from the USTA/Midwest Section Standing
List in the division of the event. Alternates will be numbered with
this Midwest Standings List. Seeding will be done based on the
USTA/Midwest Section Standing List the following week.
SCORING
All Main Draw and Consolation matches will play a Matchtiebreak
(Supertiebreak) in lieu of the third set with advantage scoring on
all matches. Many players will be playing up to three matches in a
day. A player will be entitled to a three minute break after
splitting sets and before playing the Matchtiebreak.

PRACTICE/WARM-UP COURTS
Port Tennis House will be offering a limited amount of practice
courts on Friday night, 2.15.13, for an hour at a reduced rate of
$20.00per hour. Warm up courts starting on Saturday morning,
2.16.13, will be limited to a half hour only. Saturday and Sunday
warm up courts will be available in the morning only.
FIRST ROUND REPORT TIME INFORMATION WILL BE
AVAILABLE ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15th at 6PM.

time as well as your win/loss times. Players from the same district
will not play each other first round unless an alternate fills a
spot or more than half the draw is from the same district.

1903 Sanborn St., Port Huron, MI. 48060, 810.987.6868. STAY IN THE
RIGHTHAND LANE, on I94 when coming into Port Huron. Exit right to
Pine Grove Ave / M25, turn left / north onto Pine Grove Ave at the
light. At the third traffic light, Sanborn Street, turn right, turn
left at the first drive on the left side of the road. You have
arrived.
WE CANNOT CONTACT YOU UNLESS YOU PROVIDE US YOUR
TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.
The USTA Legal Department has determined that they cannot provide
contact information to tournament directors unless the customer
provides the contact information during the registration process.
Previously the home phone number and email address were pre-filled
from the USTA Membership database when a player went through the
online registration process. The pre-fill was removed due to
privacy concerns. If you don't provide an email address and/or
telephone number when you register for this tournament then we will
be unable to notify you about any possible changes in the
tournament.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTIONS SUSPENSION POINT SYSTEM AND
SIGNING UP FOR TWO TOURNAMENTS.
Signing up for two events: The USTA Code of Conduct and Suspension
Point System is in effect. You are expected to play the entire
event as scheduled. The USTA/Midwest Section Junior Competition
Committee has adopted a new Suspension Point System. All players
will be given five (5) suspension points for entering two or more
tournaments that take place at the same time, in whole or in part,
unless each Tournament Committee involved agrees with the multiple
entries in writing via e-mail. This applies to all players who
signed up for the tournament including alternates.
USTA/MIDWEST SECTION DOMICILE RULES:
The USTA/Midwest Section Closed Junior Championships, the district
qualifiers, the USTA/Midwest Section Designated Tournaments and
USTA/Midwest Section Junior Davis & Wightman Cup events are
open to citizens of the U.S., permanent resident aliens in
possession of a valid alien registration card, individuals who are
applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident status and
who can present a USCIS receipt for a pending unadjudicated form
I-485, aliens who have resided continuously in the US for more than
one year and who are members of families of persons in the
diplomatic or consular corps and aliens who have been granted
Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary Protected Status.
DRAWS WILL BE POSTED AT THE START OF THE
TOURNAMENT.
