COURTS IN PERRY
Due to the unsafe conditions of some courts in Macon we are having to play a couple of days in Perry, Georgia. We thought the courts would be repaired by now as promised but thy are back-ordered in getting them repaired. We are sorry for the extended travel.

DOUBLES FIRST MATCH TIMES POSTED 12:10 AM 5/29. on
First match times are posted under Reports on the Doubles Website.(link above to doubles website) For all age division except G18, if you match time is after 4:15 you have a bye for the first round. G18 match times after 5 pm, means you have a bye for the first round.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of tournament registration. TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION Friday and Saturday
Please plan to register at least 1.5 hours before your doulbes match time, earlier if possible, to avoid the large number of players expected during registration. Registration opens on Friday, MAY 31 by 10:30 AM. Saturday, JUNE 1 at 7:00 AM. Everyone must REGISTER at the main site - John Drew Smith Tennis Center- at least one hour before going to their scheduled play site for match check in. If you registration is completed on Friday, you may go directly to your scheduled match site on Saturday for singles. Please save time and have your medical release form completed prior to registration. Thank you!

SAT TEST ACCOMMODATIONS
PLAYERS (BOYS & GIRLS 18s ONLY) TAKING THE SAT SHOULD PLAN TO TAKE IT IN MACON. MATCHES FOR THOSE PLAYERS WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED BEFORE 2 PM. BG18 PLAYERS should NOTIFY THE REFEREE (chelton48@yahoo.com) IF YOU PLAN TO TAKE THE SAT ON SATURDAY IN MACON.

ON-SITE ALTERNATES
Onsite alternates should check in with the referee at John Drew Smith Tennis Center (JDS) 30 minutes prior to the match time that the alternate's age division will be playing. Should a singles player not show for his/her scheduled match, alternates will be entered into the draw in the same order they appear on the ordered alternate list that is posted on the website.
Onsite alternates should have their medical release forms completed and give to the tournament registration table.

TENTATIVE DAILY SCHEDULE
Friday - All divisions - 3 rounds of doubles
Saturday - 2 rounds of main singles, 1 round consolation, no doubles
Sunday - 1 round doubles(SF), followed by 1 round main singles and 2 rounds consolation, followed by Finals of doubles
Monday - 2 rounds Main singles (QF and SF), 3 rounds consolation
Tuesday - 1 round Main singles, 2 rounds consolation

ALL THE DOUBLES WILL START ON FRIDAY MAY 31. BOYS AND GIRLS 10s THROUGH 18s. Play will begin at 2 pm.

10 & UNDER SCORING FORMAT for this tournament - Singles matches shall be the best of two short sets (first to four (4) and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) for the third set. Doubles matches shall be one eight game pro set, with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two at 8-all. Boys/Girls 10s MUST play all matches on a 60’ court with a 25 “ racket and use orange low compression balls.
Singles will be COMPASS DRAW and Doubles will be SINGLE ELIMINATION.

COACHING FOR 10S
B&G 10s will not be allow coaching between second set and the 7-point tiebreaker in lieu of the third set.

STRATFORD ACADEMY, 6010 Peake Rd. Macon, GA 31220 Take a right on to Northside Dr. Go about 100 yards and take a right on to Riverside Dr. Go 4/10 mile and turn right onto Wimbish Road. Go 1.5 miles, then take a slight left onto Forest Hill Road (Forest Hill Rd is just past North Minster Drive). Go 6/10 of a mile and turn right onto Vineville Ave. Go 1.5 miles, and then turn left onto Tucker Road. Go 2.6 miles and turn right onto Peake Road. Go 4/10 mile, and then turn left into the Academy. You must go all the way around the school to reach the tennis courts parking.

WITHDRAWALS
Withdrawals prior to the online entry deadline should be done in Tennis Link. All Withdrawals after ONLINE entries close must be sent in writing by E-mail to maconten@bellsouth.net to the attention of Donna Bailey. Please be aware that if a player withdraws for any reason other than illness, injury, or personal circumstance: suspension points will be given to that player. We will be checking if players that withdraw are playing in other tournaments that same week. Players withdrawing within 7 days of the tournament start date will not be refunded the entry fee. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after 11:59 PM EST on Friday, May 24, 2013.

Criteria for Endorsement USTA SO
Players must play in the Qualifying in the age division the player wants to be endorsed to the USTA Southern Closed Championships. In some instances, players who meet outlined criteria may be waived from the Qualifying and still be endorsed to the USTA Southern Closed Championships. All players must have a Birth Certificate/Green Card on file with USTA Southern to be SELECTED to play in the Georgia State Junior Qualifying tournament. Without birth certificate on file, you WILL NOT be selected. All players must have a Birth Certificate or Green Card on file in the USTA Southern Office for proof of US citizenship prior to playing in the Georgia State Junior Closed Qualifying Championship. SUSPENSION POINT SYSTEM IN EFFECT. This tournament is open only to
junior players whose parents have established a legal residency in
Georgia, hold a current USTA membership card assigned to Georgia,
and who are citizens of the United States or meet the resident
alien requirements for a national ranking. Boys/Girls 10s MUST play
all matches on a 60' court with a 25 " racket and use low
compression balls. Scoring format for BG18-12: Singles Main draw (2
out of 3 sets) Singles Consolation (2 sets with a 3rd set match
tie-break) Doubles (8 game pro-sets). BG10s Singles Main and

LATE ENTRANTS - USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into all USTA GA tournaments, Levels 1-5, in the event that the draw is not full, provided that such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late entries.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Monday, May 13, 2013 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
