Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation, concurs in writing, and each agrees to accommodate the player’s schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both.
If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last.
Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission.
If a player violates this concurrent tournament rule ranking points earned in any concurrent tournament played will not count toward ranking or the Grand Prix Points Race.

PLAYER INFORMATION:
1. The Tournament Desk and courts are located at ClubSport Fremont,
46650 Landing Pkwy, at the corner of Warren Blvd, which is on the
west side of Hwy 880 at the south end of Fremont.
2. All players and guests must sign in at the Front Desk upon
arrival.
3. Check-In at the Tournament Desk (at the bottom of the steps to
the Fitness Center) when fully ready to walk on the court and
play.
4. It is the responsibility of all players to check the draws for
times of all matches. After the draws are posted online, players
will be notified (please provide email address and phone numbers in
your entry information) if changes are made to their match times.
If there are wholesale changes to the schedule, a message will be
left on the tournament website.
5. Matches for the SECOND WEEKEND will mostly be scheduled
initially, but may be scheduled after completion of the first
weekend. If you do not see a time for your match prior to the start
of the tournament, it may mean that it will be played on the second
weekend.
6. Play is planned to be on the 5 indoor courts. Thus, barring
numerous 3 set matches, the tournament stays on schedule fairly
well. The outdoor courts may be used for matches at the Chairman's
discretion. Outdoor matches may be played under lights. Some
matches will be played in the EVENING. (Under extremely extenuating
circumstances, matches may be played at ClubSport Pleasanton, if
absolutely necessary.)
7. Although the outdoor courts are available to club members to
reserve, if they are open during the tournament, they may be used
by tournament entrants for warm-up. Also, the indoor courts are
available 30 minutes prior to the first matches of the day (8:00 on
the first 3 days and 9:00 on the final Sunday) for warm-up on a
first come first served basis, while the referee sets up the
courts.
8. Matches are the best 2 out of 3 sets, regular scoring, with a
regular 7 point tie-break at six all. Alternative scoring system: a
10 point tie-break in lieu of the 3rd set may be used, if
necessary. All events are single elimination. The most recent Grand
Prix Points Race List will be used for seeding, as stipulated in
the USTA NorCal Adult Tournament Rules.
9. Pro-Penn Marathon extra duty balls are used.
10. Snack Bar hours are 9 AM to 4 PM.
11. There is no Pro Shop at the club.
12. One complimentary t-shirt per player. Complimentary snacks will
be available in the tennis hallway throughout tournament.
13. Ringers on all cell phones must be turned off when in the
tennis court area.
14. Special rates are available at the Hyatt Place Hotel, which is
next door to the club.
15. Many players fill out the online evaluation form after
completing the event. Please go to

ENTRY INFORMATION:
Please provide email address and phone numbers in your entry
information, in case we have to contact you (e.g. your opponent
gets sick the day before your 8:00 a.m. match).
Until we actually make all the draws, we cannot tell how the
schedule of matches will shake out. In other words, we cannot tell
if a flight will only be played on one weekend. So when entering,
you should plan on being available to play both weekends. However,
in the past, the first weekend has been primarily singles matches.
If you just have a few hours on one day during which you cannot
play, we can often work around your time constraint. In that case,
send an email to lparker@clubsports.com, listing the starting and
ending times that you are not able to be at the club, and the
reason for the time constraint. If it does not work out and we
cannot put you into the draw, we will not charge your credit card
when we process the entries.
Players may enter at most 1 event.
Draws must have a minimum of 3 entries to be held.
When signing up for doubles, both partners must submit an entry
online.
Draws may be limited (to 24 or 32 depending on the total number of
entrants). According to USTA NorCal regulations, entry is NOT on a
FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED basis. If needed, teams/players will
randomly be pulled out of the largest draws and placed on the
alternate list. If they do not get to play, their entry fee will
either not be charged to their credit card or refunded by check a
few weeks after the tournament is completed.
If a player must withdraw from the tournament before the entry
deadline, it can be done online at the entry website. If a player
must withdraw from the tournament after the entry deadline, contact
the Tournament Director at 510-226-8500 ext.516 AND at
lparker@clubsports.com.
The draws and schedule will be posted by 10 a.m. on
Wednesday.
Thank you.
