*** Weather Update as of 3/31 9:35PM ***
We completed the tournament before the coming of bad weather.
Congratulations to all. We enjoyed having you with us.
The rain delay process, as defined by USTA NorCal, is that if it rains or if the courts condition doesn't allow play, we will delay start of play as needed.
At noon each day, a decision could be to cancel the rest of that day or to further delay play.
We will not be calling you so please monitor this web site for updates.
==> Next update as needed (keep monitoring this site)!!!

*** Note about the 12 Novice Events ***
For 2013, the USTA NorCal rules define how those 12 novice events will be run:
[1] Green balls will be used: those balls with a 75% pressure are much better for younger players. The players actually do not mind the difference as it only makes the balls bounce a bit lower.
[2] The match format (for both doubles and singles) is one regular set (a set to 6 games with a 7 points tie-break at 6-6).
[3] Participation in doubles is mandatory: all players will automatically be registered in doubles (unless we don't have enough players and then some will be left out).
[4] The event format will be round-robin with two groups (A and B), with playoff matches (semis and final/playoff) between the top two players in each event.
==> The actual format will be determined after we see the level of participation.
==> Please check BOTH the doubles and singles events for your matches.
Singles events are broken in two (A and B) for the initial rounds.
==> After the round-robin events, (as needed) please check with the tournament desk if you qualified for the final rounds.
