Player's Party Saturday, August 3rd
THERE WILL BE A PLAYERS PARTY ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 3RD FROM 12:00PM - 3:00PM. THE PARTY IS FREE TO ALL PLAYERS. THERE WILL BE HAMBURGERS, HOT DOGS AND VEGGIE BURGERS SERVED AND TWO PING PONG TABLES SET UP FOR DROP IN PLAY. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Scheduling Requests

Contact Information
Please remember to add your contact information when entering so the tournament can contact you if necessary. The USTA does not automatically give your contact information to tournaments.

Scoring Format
The scoring format will consist of 2 tiebreak sets using regular scoring with a 10 point match tie break at one set all. The open division singles will also have a playoff for 3rd and 4th place. Doubles will be single elimination 8 game pro-set.

NOVICE DIVISION
THE NOVICE DIVISION: BG12s (greenball) will play a regular set. B14s will play a 8 game pro-set. BG12d will play 8 game proset. ALL WILL PLAY REGULAR SCORING, AND WILL PLAY A ROUND ROBIN.

Doubles
Entries close for doubles on the same day as they do for singles. If you choose to enter in doubles, you need to enter your partner's USTA number as you register so the program links you as a doubles team. If you sign up for doubles and do not see your name linked with your partner online, please email the tournament number (500014212 ) to the tournament director and/or the referee , and the USTA name and number for each players. If you have signed up for doubles but have not listed a partner by the time entries close, you will either be randomly paired up with another person who signed up for doubles or you will be dropped out of the doubles and your money for doubles will be refunded. You need to make sure that you are linked up with your partner for doubles on the web page when entries close. The tournament will not be emailing people with reminders about listing a doubles partner because we do not have contact information of the partners you enter.

Withdrawals
Withdrawals are sometimes necessary, and are only excused if they are for illness, injury, or family emergency. Withdrawals made before entries close can be handled by the player by going into your TennisLink record and deleting your entry..... Your credit card will not be charged. Withdrawals at least 7 days before play starts (that would be July 26th, since play starts August 3rd) are eligible for a refund. That refund will be processed once the tournament receives their final tournament fees, about a week or two after play is complete. Withdrawals dated July 27th or later are not eligible for a refund. If you must withdraw after entries close, immediately contact the tournament director by email. vrusso74@sbcglobal.net. If it is the day before matches begin (August 2nd) , or any of the tournament playing days, please ALSO phone the tournament desk immediately (408) 356-8363. Give your line number on the draw if you can. Speak slowly and clearly and spell the player name if necessary be sure to give a return phone number. For any withdrawal after entries close, please include a reason so we may pass it on to the USTA if necessary.

Lateness Penatly
UNDER THE USTA NOR CAL RULES, THE LATENESS PENALTY CLOCK STARTS AT THE SCHEDULED MATCH TIME REGARDLESS OF COURT AVAILABILITY. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ALLOW ENOUGH TIME TO FIND THE SITE YOU ARE PLAYING AT AND FIND PARKING.

From hwy 85(both North and South ), take hwy 17 south exit towards Santa Cruz. Once on 17, take the first immediate exit towards Lark Ave <0.1 mile>. Go Right on Lark <0.1 mile>. Go Right on Oka <0.1 mile>. Go Right to LGSRC Parking lot <0.2 mile>.

Dress Code
Players must wear shoes with non-marking soles. Boys may not wear tank tops but may wear sleeveless shirts.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Friday, July 26, 2013 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
