*** How will we Manage the Tournament ***
Each event (Girls & Boys) will run for 4 hours.
Both the girls and boys events will start at 11AM.
A coordinator will be available to help on any issues.
Please be there at 10:30AM to check in and to attend a short meeting to learn how the event will be run.

*** About Doubles and Singles Play ***
All players (when possible) will play first a round of doubles.
They will then play four rounds of singles. If we have an odd number of players, one will sit out each round.
At the end, all results will be computed and winners will be identified.

[1] Please always provide your full name, your USTA # and the name(s) of the event(s) that you are participating in.
[2] Until the closing of the registrations, you can withdraw yourself online with your confirmation number.
[3] After closing of registration, and until the posting of the draws, please submit any withdrawal in writing by emailing BOTH the TD and the Referee (see email addresses above).
[4] After the posting of the draws, please FIRST CALL the TD and then email BOTH the TD and the Referee.

*** Event Draws Information and Match Formats ***
[1] Please report directly to your match site (site is identified on the draws after the day and time).
[2] All singles and doubles events: Matches will be time based (fixed time when to start and when to stop). Format will be short sets with a 10 points tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set as needed. A short set is first to 4 games (a 7 points tie-break will be played at 4-4).
[3] All events: No-add scoring will be used.
[4] The tournament reserves the right to limit each of the draws to 16 players.
[5] Be on time for your matches: Check-in at the tournament desk 15 minutes BEFORE your scheduled match times and be ready to play. Penalties for lateness will be enforced.

[1] When registering to the tournament, please make sure to provide your contact information (phone #s and email address) as we would otherwise be unable to reach you when needed (registration issues, schedule changes, withdraws, weather issues, ...).
[2] Please do not register for doubles as we will register all the players at no additional cost.
If you have a partner, please email the refere and we will register you.

All participants will start with one doubles match.
We recommend that you register with a partner or we will pair you up.
Of course, if we have an odd number of participants, one player will be left out.

The tournament structure will be optimized to maximize play.
Either a round-robin or a compass format will be used based on the participation
level. The format to be used will be explained prior to start of play.
Participants will play two rounds of singles play.
At the end, all results will be computed and winners will be identified.

[1] All withdrawals after entry closing date must be made in
writing to: Simon250gto@Yahoo.com
[2] On tournament days, withdrawals must be made by phone before 7
AM, and you must follow up with a confirming email.
[3] If we cannot contact your opponent in time, late withdrawals
may still be charged with a default.
[4] The tournament will NOT give authorization for concurrent
tournament registrations. We will enforce concurrent tournament
registration rules.
[5] We provide complimentary snacks all day long!
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, October 15, 2012 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
