Important Saturday Parking Issues due to Socer Game
Saturday parking- Until 4pm all spots (except C- always restricted) are
free. At 4pm, all but B spots will be closed due to the San Jose
Earthquakes soccer game. When pulling in to Accolti you can find B
spots on the right lot next to the courts and across the street next to
the dorms. Note- There are not many matches after 4pm so there should
be plenty of parking as soccer fans cannot park in the B spots.
Sunday parking- other than C spots, all are open.

Parking and Check in procedures
Parking all weekend, Friday and Saturday specifics- Avoid C spots!
Please note, if you have a Friday match, you will have to pay for parking until 8pm. To purchase a pass, drive past the Leavy Stadium and go to the main entrance on the left to purchase a pass. We strongly recommend you park on El Camino Real to avoid parking fees. We will not accomodate late arrivals due to parking issues. You should arrive at least 20 minutes early to accomodate for the distance from parking to the courts. You are late if you are not checked in by the time your match is scheduled, you are defaulted 15 minutes after... checked in means you have gone to the bathroom, put on your gear etc...
IN ADDITION, THE SPOTS THAT SAY 24 HOUR ENFORCED "C" SPOTS MEAN JUST THAT. ANY DAY OF THE WEEK INCLUDING WEEKENDS YOU WILL RECEIVE A TICKET IN THOSE SPOTS. OTHER PLAYERS HAVE IGNORED THIS WARNING, SO DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. AS ALWAYS, THE TOURNAMENT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS, THESE VIOLATIONS MAY BE UP TO $50. DON'T TEMPT THE SCU PARKING PATROL! PARKING TICKETS ARE A BIG BUSINESS AT SCU!
Saturday and Sunday parking- other than C spots, all are open.
AS SCU is host to the SJ Earthquakes pro soccer team, we will let you know if there are parking issues due to games.

All Draws Posted- All draws to be completed the first weekend
Please be sure to look at your times closely, especially in the large draws like Men's Open singles some of the times are a bit erratic. Times cannot be changed, we made every effort to accomodate the few schedule requests that we had. Further information about parking and such wil be posted later in the week.
|
Tournament format- When will you play?
All events will begin the first weekend with the hope of concluding everything the first weekend. However, some doubles events may carry over until the 2nd Saturday. We won't know which until entries close of course. Additional sites may be used to keep the tournament to one weekend.
The recent change in USTA rules requiring 2 hours minimum rest period between singles matches is part of our reformatting.
All Men's Open will finish the 1st weekend. Singles should plan on Friday play.
Men's Open, Men's 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 all should expect to play on Friday July 13. We will not begin any earlier than 3pm. Historically these draws are over 16 requiring Friday play. No other draws have ever been an issue. The larger draws may have to play the 2nd Saturday.

League Play- Schedule avoidances
Because we know league play is in session, it is hard for us to schedule around matches as so many players have so many different requests. Please be prepared to play at any time during the tournament published dates. Certainly we can accomodate a rare request but make no guarantees.

Concurrent Tournament Rule
A player shall not be entered at the time entries close in two or more USTA sanctioned tournaments scheduled to take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing. Players may play in concurrent tournaments provided those tournaments involved are advised of the conflict by the player prior to entry, and agree in writing to accept such concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule. The final decision rests with each tournament committee. If one tournament agrees to accept concurrent entries and accommodate the player's schedule but the concurrent tournament does not, the player may not enter both. If the player violates the rule against entering concurrent tournaments, such tournaments will not count toward ranking or Grand Prix points.
