SELECTION/COMPETITORS/ALTERNATES/WITHDRAWALS Players will be selected based on the most current USTA/Midwest Section
Standing List when registration closes. Players will be selected as follows 1. Eight (8) players from the top 100 of the most current USTA/Midwest
Section Standing List in next lower division (except in the boys and girls 12s divisions
where 4 players will be selected) 2. 56 players from the most current USTA/Midwest
Section Standing List in the current age division of the event (except in the boys and girls
12s division where 60 players will be accepted) Alternates will be ranked when selections are posted.
Seeding will be done based on the USTA/Midwest Section Standing List that comes out the Thursday following selections.
If you are an alternate and wish to play another event you must either withdraw from our alternate list or get permission to dual register. We will call the phone number that you list when you register if your name comes up. Withdrawals must be via email with a reason listed. Once selections have been made there will be no refunds.
START TIMES/CHECK-IN/PRACTICE COURTS/ALL MATCHES WILL BE RECORDED ON DVD
Start times as well as win/loss times will be posted above left under "Future Match Info" on the Wednesday preceding the event. Our desk staff can not give out times. Check in 1/2 an hour before your first match to sign forms and get your tee-shirt. Practice courts can be reserved using a charge card, when you make the reservation, ask for the discounted rate of $13.00 per half hour or $26 per hour for warm-up courts, but please wait until First Match Start times are posted. Hitting lessons are available for $32.00 a half hour, call the club to schedule one. Practice courts must be paid over the phone by using a Visa or Master Card there are no refunds. Matches will be recorded and available for purchase throughout the weekend on first come first serve basis, $40.00 for the first one, subsequent matches are discounted.
SCHEDULING/SCORING Format will be 2 out of 3 full sets in the front draw, regular (Advantage) scoring, and Match Tiebreak (first to 10, ahead by 2) in lieu of the third set FOR ALL CONSOLATION MATCHES. NEW FOR 2011 all split sets in the front will receive a 10 minute break and in the back draw it will be a 3 minute break if you split. Please note per Friend of Court Point Penalty System that players that are late returning to the court after a rest break are assessed a GAME penalty, if assessed during a match tiebreak , this results in the loss of the match. Day 1 the front draw will play two rounds and the back draw will play one Day 2 the main draw will play the round of 16 and the Quarterfinals and the Consolation will play THREE rounds. 16 Players will still be competing on in the draw on Day 3, some into the afternoon. The semis and finals of the consolation will not be played.
MIDWEST USTA RULES/CODE OF CONDUCT
Point Penalty System will be enforced IF YOU ARE LATE THE POINT PENALTY SYSTEM WILL BE ENFORCED, THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD. All players should check-in 20 minutes early with shoes on ready to play.
DRESS CODE Proper Attire is required. The top and bottom of your outfit must meet when your arms are at rest. No bare midriffs, spaghetti straps, tank tops, alcohol or drug words, if it is objectionable you will have to change before going on the court which could incur a point penalty for a time violation.
Dual Entries
Signing up for two events: The USTA Code of Conduct and Suspension Point System is in
effect. You are expected to play the entire event as scheduled. The USTA/Midwest Section
Junior Competition Committee has adopted a new Suspension Point System. All players
will be given five (5) suspension points for entering two or more tournaments that take
place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved
agrees with the multiple entries in writing via e-mail. This applies to all players who signed
up for the tournament including alternates.

The Sectional Junior Events are open to:
• Citizens of the U.S.,
• Permanent resident aliens in possession of a valid alien registration card,
• Individuals who are applicants for adjustment to lawful permanent resident
status and who can present a USCIS receipt for a pending unadjudicated
form I-485,
• Aliens who have resided continuously in the US for more than one year and
who are members of families of persons in the diplomatic or consular corps
and
• Aliens who have been granted Refugee Status, Asylee Status or Temporary
Protected Status.
