Player Appreciation Day - Saturday 2-3 pm
The ODTA and Westwood Tennis Center are excited to host our Oklahoma juniors for the first Oklahoma District Championship. Saturday from 2-3 pm will be Player Appreciation Day. We will have Eskimo Sno out to serve sno cones to all the players from 2-3 pm on Saturday. In addition, Saturday afternoon ODTA and USTA staff and board members will be available to meet with parents and players and answer questions and provide information about Junior Competition. There will even be prizes for the first lucky players who visit the ODTA tent and answer a tennis trivia question correctly. So even if you are not scheduled to play Saturday afternoon, make sure you come out to Westwood between 2-3 pm on Saturday.
|
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The actual start date for draws will depend on their size. Due to USTA rules and regulations players are only allowed to play so many matches each day.
If a draw is 16 players or smaller, the draw will be played on Saturday and Sunday. If a draw has more than 16 players, it will have to start on Friday evening. Matches will not start before 5 pm.
In addiiton, doubles draws can potentially start on Friday evening if they need to in order to complete the event on Sunday.
