Please be aware that the draws players receive at Tournament Registration are not official and are subject to change. Times, locations, and opponents on Tennis link will be the official draw.

WITHDRAWALS
All withdrawals after the entry deadline should be in writing and the reason for the withdrawal given. On or Before Thursday, April 7, please withdraw on the website. Go to the Tournament website and click "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the left side of your screen then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Comfirmation" just below "Withdraw".Your credit card will not be charged and no reason for the withdrawal is necessary.
After Thursday. April 7 at 11:59pm, withdrawing players should email the referee at chelton48@yahoo.com stating the reason for the withdrawal.
No refund will be given if a player withdraws after midnight, Friday, April 8.

TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION FRIDAY
Registration will take place at Pleasant Valley Country Club (Main club house) from 3:00 -7:00 on Friday, April 15. It is imperative that all players register before
their first match. If, for reasons beyond your control you cannot make
registration before your doubles match please notify the tournament director
by e-mail to ask for permission to register at your playing site.

DOUBLES PARTNERS
Please check the doubles competitor list. 1. If someone has designated you as his/her partner but you did not designate that player, please email the referee at chelton48@yahoo.com to either confirm or reject the pairing. 2. Partners must be designated by Sunday at noon. After that time we will randomly pair anyone without a partner. 3. After Sunday noon if you do not want to be randomly paired, email the referee at chelton48@yahoo.com to withdraw from doubles.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
Friday: 2 rounds of doubles
Saturday: 2 rounds of Main, 1 round of Consolation, 2 rounds of doubles
Sunday: 2 rounds of Main, 3 rounds of Consolation, 2 rounds of doubles
Monday: SF and F Main, 3/4 PO, 3 rounds of Consolation
Please note that B12, B14, and B16 Consolations will play through through the semifinals.All other divisions will play the finals of consolation.

ATTENTION-NEW USTA RULES FOR 2011
When using a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the full 3rd set, there will be a mandatory 3 minute break. Coaching will be allowed during this break. No new balls.
When using a full 3rd set, there will be a mandatory 10 minute break between the 2nd and 3rd sets for ALL age divisions. New balls for the 3rd set.
Line calls changed from "out" to "in" no longer result in a let. The player who made the incorrect call now loses the point regardless of their subsequent shot.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS
A signed medical release form is required prior to playing your first match. Parent or guardian must sign the medical release. Please print the form and bring the completed document with you to registration at the Tournament Check in.

Doubles First Match Time on Friday
Doubles play will begin at 5:00pm. Everyone should plan to play at 5 pm on Friday unless you have a first round bye.

ENTERING TWO AGE DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines:
#1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They would be removed from the other age
#2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternate lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in. They would be removed from the Alternate list in the other division.
#3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list for the division they were not selected.
#4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.
There will be no exceptions to these guidelines. If you feel you have made an incorrect entry during the entry process, you can edit your registration until the entry closing date.

SEEDING
USTA SOUTHERN SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA: Seeding shall be done using only the results from the most recently published)(4/5 or 4/6) USTA Southern Combined Standings List of the division in the order in which players appear on the list.
Players who have a standing in the next younger age division MAY be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top range of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings List of any younger age division as determined by the Southern Seeding Calculator. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 10000 ATP or WTA rankings will be considered for seeding.

SCORING FORMAT/REGULATIONS
For BG 12, 14, 16, 18:All main draw matches will be best of three tiebreak sets.
All consolation matches will be best of two tiebreak sets with a match tiebreak (first to 10 by 2 points)to be played in lieu of the third set.
For BG10: Main and consolation singles matches will be best of two short sets to four with a seven point tiebreak at 4-4 and tiebreak for the third, first to seven by two. Play will be on 60 foot courts, using orange balls and rackets 25 inches or less.
The consolation will be a full feed-in consolation through the quarterfinals. Consolation matches will be played through the semifinal round.
Doubles will play an 8 game proset with a 7-point tiebreaker to be played at 8-all.
There will be a playoff for third and fourth place in the main draw singles.

DOUBLES INFORMATION
Doubles play will begin on Friday afternoon at 5pm with two rounds. Format for doubles is an 8-game pro set. A 7-point tiebreak will be used at 8-all.
Please use the Facebook Group for communicating to find a partner. Do not list your phone number or email address on the Facebook page.
You must play doubles in the same age group in which you were accepted for singles. Once the online entry deadline has passed you will need to email the referee by Sunday, April 10 at NOON, with the name of your doubles partner and their USTA number. If you do not have a doubles partner at that time, the referee will randomly pair unpaired applicants. There is no guarantee that you will end up with a doubles partner if you wait for random pairing. If you do NOT want to be randomly assigned please notify the referee to remove your name from the doubles applicants.
If you are playing doubles ONLY, then the fee is $25.00, which is payable at the first doubles match.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Entry for BG12, BG14, BG16 and BG18 will be based on selection criteria of 42 from the age group of the event and up to 6 from the lower age group who do not get in the first 42, and who are in the top 80 of the Southern standings in the lower age group at the time of selection.
Entry for BG10 will be based on selection criteria of 32 in the Southern standings at the time of selection. Selections were made using 4/5 or 4/6 Southern Standing Lists.

DRAWS
The draws, singles and doubles, will be made at noon (Central) on Tuesday. April 12.

ENTERING TWO TOURNAMENTS (Including those on the Alternate List)
Do not enter two tournaments at the same time. How to avoid Penalties: If you end up on the alternate list, you must withdraw from the alternate list first and then enter the 2nd event.

BALLS
The official ball for the tournament is Wilson US Open.

DRESS CODE
For the Boys: Any T-shirts worn must be plain or tennis related. No underwear should be visible above waist band or below hemline. Shirts must be worn at all times. Shorts must be worn appropriately above pelvic bones. Sleeveless shirts are acceptable if made that way - no cutoff sleeves. For the Girls: Any T-shirts must be plain or tennis related. Skirts and shorts must be worn appropriately above the pelvic bones. The bottom of your shirt must touch the top of your skirt or shorts while standing upright- shoulders back. This means do not roll down your skirts or shorts. Thank you for your cooperation.

Event limit 2 singles. Applicants may sign up for 2 divisions,
but only play in one. Due to locations of playing, players must
play doubles in same age group as selected for singles. Online

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
