South Iredell High School - 299 Old Mountain Road, Troutman, NC - From I-77 go South towards Charlotte and take Exit 45 toward Amity Hill Rd. Turn right onto Amity Hill Rd., Take the first left onto Murdock Rd. go 2.5 miles and turn right at Old Mountain Rd. High School is on the left in 0.8 mile. Courts are behind the school. No bathrooms available.......--------Fox Den Country Club, from Caldwell Park take I-77 South to exit 45. Right on Amity Hill Road, Right on Wedge View, take first left, courts on left.

TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN:
All players playing in Doubles or in the 10's will check-in on Friday at Caldwell Park. Other players may also check-in for their singles matches at Caldwell Park on Friday. SATURDAY MATCH CHECK-IN WILL BE AT SCHEDULED SITE.... DO NOT COME TO CALDWELL PARK ON SATURDAY Unless you are scheduled to play at Caldwell. LATENESS PENALTIES WILL BE GIVEN>>>>> NO EXCEPTIONS

Required Parent Education Forum:
Required for all 10’s & 12’s playing in Futures tournaments, the 2011 Tar Heel Qualifier, and either of the 2011 North Carolina Junior State Closed Championships. At least one parent or guardian of a child planning to enter the 10’s or the 12’s of any of the above tournaments, must view the education forum prior to the deadline of the tournament in order for the their child to be eligible to play. This is a onetime requirement only.

Format and Scoring:
Draws will be a Full Feed-In through the Quarters with a ¾ playoff. Main draw and consolation will play the best of three sets playing a 10 point match tiebreak for the third set.
Doubles will consist of an 8 game pro set. 10 and under scoring format for doubles and singles is below.

Sportsmanship Awards:
A sportsmanship award will be presented to a boy and girl on Sunday April 24th. Officials and players may nominate. Please turn in your nomination at Caldwell Park by Sunday April 24th 12:00 pm.

10 and Under:
10 & Under Quick Facts
Racquets/Balls: The racquet must not be larger than 25”. The low compression ORANGE ball is used.
Court/Lines: 60 feet long and 21 feet wide (singles) & 27 feet wide (doubles). Hard courts use painted lines, masking tape, or chalk. Clay courts use brush lines, chalk, throw down, or nailed tape lines.
Net: Height 3ft. which is a standard tennis court net.
Scoring: Players will play the best of 3 sets. The first player to win 4 points wins the game. The first player to win 4 games wins the set. If the game score is tied at 40/40(deuce), one point will be played to decide the game (no ad scoring). The receiver may decide which court to receive the serve.
A set tiebreaker will be played for the third set. The first player to win 7 points (by 2 points) wins the tiebreaker. To start the tiebreaker, the first server serves one point from the deuce court and then players will alternate serving two points each, beginning from the ad court.
Changing Sides: During a set- players will change sides after odd numbered games (1, 3, 5, etc). During a 3rd set tiebreaker, players will change sides after every 6 points have been played (6, 12 etc)
Serve: The serve must be hit out of the air diagonally into service box from the baseline. Change servers after every game. Players will spin a racquet to determine who serves first.
Doubles will use same scoring format with 27' wide court.

NCTA Rain Policy:
NCTA Rain Policy for all sanctioned tournaments
1. Any division where play has begun – no refund
2. Any division where no play has begun – a partial refund after deductions for actual
expenses.
3. All completed scores must be reported. Incomplete matches are recorded as
ABANDONED( match started but Referee decided not to complete) matches.
Matches never started are recorded as UNPLAYED
4. No tournament may reschedule without the approval of the S & S Committee.
5. If a tournament is unable to complete the tournament within the sanctioned dates,
no extensions will be allowed. The tournament will be over.
6. It is at the discretion of the tournament committee if the entire tournament is canceled
due to inclement weather.
7. Check the alternate scoring methods for inclement weather
8. Notify the NCTA of a cancellation.
9. Head tax is charged for any divisions where play has begun
10. COMMUNICATE with players or parents
