1st Match Check-in
Players can check-in at their first match site. Please arrive early to the site. They will need their medical waiver. Players do NOT have to come to the main site (CTP) to check-in to the tournament first.
Players may come to the main site (CTP) to get you player packet at any point during the tournament.

Playing at Middle Creek School Park (Please Read!)
If you are scheduled to play at Middle Creek School Park on Thursday and/or Friday the courts will not be available to the tournament until 10 am. These courts should NOT be considered an option to warm-up on before play on Thursdy or Friday.

Player Pizza Party!!!
There will be a Player Pizza Party on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the main site, Cary Tennis Park.
Players may receive their tournament packet during this time.

Tie Dye!!!
On Thursday and Saturday we will have a Tie Dye Station at the Cary Tennis Park. Players can Tie Dye their tournament T-Shirt.

10 and under divisions
All Singles and Doubles play for the 10s divisions will be on Saturday and Sunday.

Summer State Closed in Cary Selection Criteria
Players with a standing of 1-150 in the age division entered will be accepted into the tournament.
6 spots will be held for players applying who have a standing in the top 40 from the lower age division. (if their standing is not in the top of 150 of the age division entered)
2 draw spots may be filled by wildcard. Wildcard requests should be submitted to the Tournament Director by Thursday, August 4th at 6pm.
Format: Doubles will play an 8 game pro set and should be completed by Thursday.
Thursday-Sunday singles play scheduled*
Consolation matches will be a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set.
*Larger singles draws may begin on Wednesday.

Doubles Only Registrants
Those interested in playing doubles only please contact the director, Reid Kinlaw, at reid.kinlaw@townofcary.org. The fee is $20 for those only playing doubles. Please provide your child's usta number, their partner's name and usta number, and they division they want to play. We will contact you at a later date for payment.

8 and under Event
We will have an 8 and under coed event on Friday afternoon (This is not a State Closed Championship). Matches will start Friday afternoon. Please go to the link below to register.

Summer State Closed in Cary Selection Criteria
Beginning in 2010 the State Closed (August) Draws will be limited to 64 if applicable but may be larger to accommodate the criteria below.
Players with a standing of 1-150 will be selected into the State Closed
Additionally, the 6 players applying in the top 40 from the lower age division (if not in the 150 standings of applicable age division) will be selected
2 wildcards chosen by the committee if needed for extraordinary cases (illness, injury etc)

10 and under Division Rules
All 10’s play will be on 60’ courts with the orange ball & racquets no larger than 25”. Scoring will be 2 out of 3 short sets (first to win 4 games). A 7 point tiebreak will be played for the 3rd set.

Rule Changes for 2011
1. There will be a rest period of 3 minutes between the 2nd set & a third set tie breaker with coaching allowed. NC recommends players remain on court for coaching.
2. BG 18’s will have a 10 minute break between 2nd & 3rd sets when playing 2 out of 3 tiebreak
sets.
3. If a player decides to change his call, the player will lose the point

Parking is available in the Cary Tennis Park main parking lot, the Green Hope Elementary School Lot located across the street and the North Parking lot located on the North end of the Cary Tennis Park.
