Update for Monday Matches
The Consolation Quarterfinals of all events will be played at 9AM. Boys and Girls 12's will be at FTC Boys 16 and 18's will be at DLTC and all others will be played at NTC (Boys 14, Girls 14, 16, 18).Please check all match times because Mondays Schedule has been revised. This is occuring because of impending rain forcast for Monday afternoon.Finals and 3/4 playoff will play at NTC and have been rescheduled.

Selection Process
Because this is a Level 3 STA Event the following Selection Process is being used: Top 32 players applying from the usta/southern latest standings list. 28 players from this age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 40 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 28, will be selected. the names of the player who have been selected will appear as competitors. alternates are listed in the report section. do not refer to the alternates on the far left side of the web page (that list is not updated).
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. they would be removed from the other age division. #2. players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. they would be removed from the alternate list in the other division. #3. players selected to one age division woud be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Withdrawing from the Tournament
Refunds: To receive a refund for the tournament you must withdraw prior to the draw being made. The draw will be made at1pm on Saturday January 8th at Newman Tennis Center.
If you have entered and wish to withdraw prior to the entry deadline please go to the tournament web page and click on Edit Registration. You will need your confirmation number that you received in your confirmation e-mail to complete the process.

Medical Release
A Medical Release is now REQUIRED prior to playing any matches. Parent or guardian MUST SIGN. Please click on more info to download this form and bring it with you to registration. You can find the form at www.gatennis.com under Junior Competitive Tennis.

Playing Formate and Scoring
Draws will be 32 players with a Full Feed in Consolation through the Quarters and 3/4 playoff. Main Draw will play the best two out of three tie-break sets. Feed-in Consolation and Boys and Girls 10's will be the best of three sets playing a 10 point match tie-break in lieu of the third set. In the event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change. The Finals of the Consolation will not be scheduled and may not be played. Boys and Girls 10's will be played using the Quick Start Formate (60' Courts).

Dress Code
The Tournament committee has set A dress code in this Tournament The Rules to which all participants are expected to adhere. These Rules are based on our community standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites used during the tournament. Good manners on and off the court will be required of all participants, coaches and family at all times.
Proper tennis attire should be worn. For females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or shorts. For males proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. Shirts must be worn at all times. Please respect our standards and adhere to our rules. Failure to do so will result in the player being required to change prior to the match. This delay may result in penalties (PPS) being assessed .

No Doubles in this Tournament
Because of the length of the day and weather issues we will not include Doubles in this tournament.

Balls used For Play
We will be using USPTA Pro Penn Extra Duty tennis balls for this tournament.

Selections Have been Made
We will list the players selected and the ordered Alternate list by 5pm today.
If you decide to enter the tournament in Knoxsville, TN you must send the TD an e-mail withdrawing from the Alternates List for this tournament.

Friday Night Check In and Tournament Dinner
We will have the friday check in at Wood Park Community Center (1866 Highland Ave., Augusta, GA 30909). Directions: coming from I-20: exit I-20 at exit 196A and follow I-520 to exit 2 (wrightsboro rd) turn left onto wrightsboro road and follow 3 miles. You will pass Newman Tennis Center on your left, and go another mile to the corner of Highland Ave. The Air Port is on your right and as you turn it will remain on your right. Follow Highland Ave. for 1/4 mile and Wood Park Community Center will be on your left, before the Fire Station.
Check in and dinner will be from 5 to 8 pm. All players, parents and family, and coaches are welcome.

GEORGIA LEVEL 2 TOURNAMENT. SOUTHERN LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT. 32
players will be selected for each event and then be split into two
Draws of 16 players using the Waterfall System for selection with a
Full Feed in Consolation through the Quarters and 3/4 playoff.
Players may sign up for 2 events (for those desiring to play up)
but you will only play in one event. The STA will make those
selections as well. All draws (12-18) will play the best two out of
three tie-break sets with a Match tie break in lieu of the third
set. The Finals of the Consolation will not be scheduled and will
not be played. Boys and Girls 10's will be the best of three short
sets (first to 4 win by 2) playing a 7 point set tie-break in lieu
of the third set. 10's will play on the 60 foot court using Orange
Low Compression Balls and 25" racquest. This is Scheduled to be a
ONE DAY EVENT.In the event of inclement weather, match format is
subject to change. Deadline - 11:59 pm. We encourage you to use the
USTA's on-line registration. CHAMPIONSHIP - Open to all players
regardless of ranking.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
