Attention, Players! Tournament "etiquette"
All divisions will be playing on hard courts. The Lake Charles Racquet Club & McMurray Park courts will be used. Please be at your site 30 minutes before the scheduled match time. Please be checked in at your site 15 minutes before match time. Remember: "checked in" means you are completely ready to go onto court. As a player, you have your drinks, snacks, basically anything you may need for the match, ready to go. Once you check in, the tournament may put you on the court at any time so please stay close to the site desk. Whether you are the winner or loser - please go back to the site desk to report the score AND get your next match time. It is the player's responsibility to get this information... also, please ALWAYS check the website for any changes or updates. If everyone follows these reminders - we will have a great tournament! Have fun !!

EARLY CHECK-IN & Check In
We will have early check-in, for those who are interested, at the Lake Charles Racquet Club from 5-8pm on Friday, March 11, 2010. Players checking in on Friday may go directly to their first match site on Saturday. Written directions to the sites will be available at check-in. Check-in for those arriving after 8pm on Friday or arriving on Saturday will be at the Lake Charles Racquet Club from 7am until 12pm. IF you are checking in on Saturday, you must check in at the Lake Charles Racquet Club ONE hour before your match. That means 7am for an 8am match. Players may proceed directly to all subsequent match sites. Please be sure to have a signed Medical Release with you for check-in. Late entries and alternates who have not paid their entry fee will be required to submit payment prior to their first match. During the tournament, please check this website regularly for any updates and changes, especially in the event of inclement weather.

BOYS AND GIRLS 10s FORMAT AND SCORING
Boys and Girls 10 and under will use the QuickStart format with court size of 60 feet and orange low compression balls. Players must use up to 25" junior racquets (larger than 25" racquets will not be permitted). Players play the best of 3 sets (no ad scoring) with the first to win 4 games wins a set. You must win by 2 games. If the score is 4 all, a set tiebreak (first to 7 by 2pt) is played. If players split sets, a set tiebreak is played in lieu of the third set.

Format and Scoring for BG12-18
All draws will be Full Feed in through Quarters and a 3/4 Playoff. Scoring for the main draw will be the best of three tiebreak sets. Scoring in the Feed In Consolation will be the best of three sets with a Match Tiebreak in lieu of the third set. Alternate scoring, No-AD scoring, or Match Tiebreak in lieu of the third set may be used for all matches in the event of inclement weather.

Rule changes for Junior Tournaments
• Juniors receive a mandatory 3-minute rest period after the second set when a match-tiebreak is played in lieu of the third set. The player are encouarged stay on the court and coaching is permitted.
• Juniors in the Boys’ and Girls’ 18 Divisions receive a mandatory 10-minute rest period after the second set in a best of 3 set match. As usual, coaching is permitted.
* Calls that are called "out" and chenged to "good" will not be replayed as a let. The player who changed the call will automatically lose the point. When a receiver reverses a fault call on a serve that hit the net, the server is entitled to 2 serves.

Medical Release Form
The Medical Release Form is required by USTA Southern Section. The Medical Release must be signed by a parent or guardian. Please be sure to provide a telephone number where you can be reached during the tournament. A signed form is extremely important in the event your child may need emergency medical assistance and you are not at the court site. Please download and bring with you to registration otherwise the form must be completed at registration. No player will be allowed on court without this form. FOR PLAYERS!!!
Every participant will receive a tournament t-shirt at the time of check-in. Alo, there will be a player and guest hamburger/hot dog lunch, Saturday, March 12 at the Lake Charles Racquet Club. On the first day of competition, plan on coming out for food and fun!

Guidelines for entering two divisions:
1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They will be romoved from the other age division.
2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates' list for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates' list. They would be removed from the alternates' list in the other division.
3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates' list of the division they were not selected.
4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

SELECTION PROCESS
Draws will be limited to 32. The top 32 players applying will be selected by the Southern Section office, from the latest USTA/Southern standing list -- 28 players from the age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group that have a top 40 standing and are not in the selected 28.

ALTERNATES
Alternates By Event report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you find that you are unable to attend, so other alternates can move up. It is the alternates' responsibility to check the website to determine if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if you are accepted in to the draw. Make sure that your USTA membership profile, especially contact phone numbers and email addresses, are correct so that we may contact you. The tournament will not be responsible for outdated contact information. ONCE SELECTED FOR PLAY, PAYMENT IS DUE IMMEDIATELY. PLAYERS WHO HAVE NOT PAID THEIR ENTRY FEE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE COURTS.

ALTERNATES ON SITE
On-site Alternates should report to the Tournament Desk at the Lake Charles Racquet Club at least one hour before their age/gender group is scheduled to play. On-site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates' List. Again, if selected for play, payment is due immediately.

WITHDRAWALS If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. Click on "Edit Registration", then "Withdraw". You will need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after entries close must both be sent in writing by email to bobby.walker@lcracquet.com and by phone to tournament site once the tournament has started. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
