Attention, Players! Tournament "etiquette"
David Kimball is the tournament director for this weekend. Please direct all calls/emails/etc to the number & email address above.
All divisions will be playing on hard courts. Southern Hills Tennis Center, Querbes Tennis Center, Cockerell Tennis Center and Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club courts will be used.
Please be at your site 30 minutes before the scheduled match time. Please be checked in at your site 15 minutes before match time. Remember: "checked in" means you are completely ready to go onto court. As a player, you have your drinks, snacks, basically anything you may need for the match, ready to go. Once you check in, the tournament may put you on the court at any time so please stay close to the site desk.
Whether you are the winner or loser - please go back to the site desk to report the score AND get your next match time. It is the player's responsibility to get this information... also, please ALWAYS check the website for any changes or updates.

CHECK IN for Tournament
Will be held on Friday evening from 5-8pm at Southern Hills Tennis Center, 1000 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, 71118. (2 miles west of Interstate 49/Exit 199). Phone 318-673-7784
If you cannot make the Friday evening time, you must go and turn in the Medical Release to David Kimball at Southern Hills ONE HOUR BEFORE your match Saturday. For example, if you have an 8am match, you need to be sure to drop it off at 7am before you report to your site/match. Any Questions, please call 318.673.7784.

Facility Rules
Shreveport uses conduct rules above and beyond those enforced by the USTA. Players participating in tournaments at the facilities identified are required to abide by these facility rules of behavior on and off of the court. These rules also apply to parents, coaches, siblings, and other guests of the players. The list below indicates the Facility Behavior Rules: No use of the word "suck" or any form of the word spoken or spelled. No use of expressions of frustrations with references to deities (i.e. "Oh My God", "Jesus", "Jesus Christ", "Christ", "God") either spoken or spelled. No use of "freaking", "frigging", or "fricking" or variations of such words either spoken or spelled. No Smoking anywhere on the premises. Premises includes parking lots, bathrooms, and anywhere within 30 feet of a tennis court. Verbal rules apply to any . Anyone found in violation of these rules may be subject to a Code Violation and receive suspension points.

Doubles Schedule
Doubles will begin Saturday morning at 8am. The format for doubles will be 8 game pro-sets with a set tiebreak (first to 7 by 2) at 8 all. There is a chance that 2 doubles matches will need to be played before singles, depending on the size of draws. Remember, if you are playing doubles, you may be playing 2 doubles & 2 singles on Saturday. You will be playing lots of tennis!!

Girl's 18's & 10's, and Boy's 10s
Format will be full feed in consolation through the semi finals of main draw.

Format and Scoring for B12-18, G12-16
All draws will be Full Feed in through Quarters and a 3/4 Playoff. Scoring for the main draw will be the best of three tiebreak sets. Scoring in the Feed In Consolation will be the best of three sets with a Match Tiebreak in lieu of the third set. Alternate scoring, No-AD scoring, or Match Tiebreak in lieu of the third set may be used for all matches in the event of inclement weather.

BOYS AND GIRLS 10s FORMAT AND SCORING
Boys and Girls 10 and under will use the QuickStart format with court size of 60 feet and orange low compression balls. Players must use up to 25" junior racquets (larger than 25" racquets will not be permitted). Players play the best of 3 sets (no ad scoring) with the first to win 4 games wins a set. You must win by 2 games. If the score is 4 all, a set tiebreak (first to 7 by 2pt) is played. If players split sets, a set tiebreak is played in lieu of the third set.

DOUBLES
All doubles teams will need to let the tournament director know by email their partner. If no partner is given, we will choose your partner from those available. PLEASE DO NOT CALL. EMAIL.

Doubles Entry
Entry into DOUBLES will only be made in the same division as the singles. We are using multiple sites & will be playing doubles at the same sites.

Entry Guidelines
Players are allowed to enter two age divisions in Southern L3 tournaments, within these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made

PLaying Surfaces & Facilities
Matches will be played on Hard Courts at various sites in the Shreveport/Bossier area. All faciliites are within 20 minutes of hotels in the area.

Withdrawals
Prior to the tournament deadline, all withdrawals are to be made online at the tournament website. After the tournament deadline, withdrawals must be sent in writing by e-mail to southernhillstennis@comcast.net. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.

Medical Release Form
The Medical Release Form is required by USTA Southern Section. The Medical Release must be signed by a parent or guardian. Please be sure to provide a telephone number where you can be reachded during the tournament. A signed form is extremely important in the event your child may need emergency medical assistance and you are not at the court site. Please download and bring with you to registration otherwise the form must be completed at registration. No player will be allowed on court without this form. Form can be found

10 & Under Play
As mandated by the USTA Southern, play in the 10 & under boys & girls will be on 60' courts, orange & yellow ball. 25" rackets are required. No 26 or 27" rackets. Children play the best of three sets and the first to win four games wins a set. For the third set, the first player to win the seven points wins the match.

This is a level 3 Southern & Louisiana Junior Tournament.
There is an application process for accepting players.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
