Directions to Main Site -- Hornet's Nest Park (HN)
Directions from Uptown Charlotte. Take I-77 North to Exit 16B (Sunset Rd West). Travel .6 miles on Sunset Rd to Beatties Ford Rd. Turn right onto Beatties Ford Rd, travel 1.1 miles on Beatties Ford Rd, Hornets Nest Park will be on the left. Travel to the back of the park, and the tennis courts will be on the left. Click on "more info" for a map of the area.

Other site locations -- Mallard Creek Highschool (MC)
Mallard Creek Highschool (MC) will be used as an alternative site. 3901 Johnston Oehler Road. Directions from Hornet's Nest to Mallard Creek: take a right out of HN park. Go 1 mile and take a left onto Sunset Road. Go 1.2 miles, then Sunset becomes Old Statesville Road. Go 3.6 miles. Take a slight right onto Eastfield Road and travel 3 miles. Take a right onto Prosperity Church Road and travel 1 mile. Left onto Johnston Oehler Road and travel 1 mile. High School will be on your right. Travel time is approximately 15-20 min. Medical Release Form
The Medical Release Form is required by USTA Southern Section. The Medical Release must be signed by a parent or guardian. Please be sure to provide a telephone number where you can be reachded during the tournament. A signed form is extremely important in the event your child may need emergency medical assistance and you are not at the court site. Please download and bring with you to registration otherwise the form must be completed at registration. No player will be allowed on court without this form.

Tournament Vouchers
Junior Team Tennis Participants and High School players playing in a tournament for the first time are eligible to receive a voucher towards FREE entry into this Futures event! The procedure for obtaining the voucher and entering the tournament is as follows: 1. Players/parents must contact NC Tennis to request the voucher -- contact Jane (jane@nctennis.com) or Marusa (marusa @nctennis.com) or call 336-852-8577. 2. Players/parents must contact the tournament director (tournaments@charlottetennisassociation.com) PRIOR to the entry deadline of June 15 to indicate they have a voucher and want to enter the tournament. Be prepared to provide your current USTA membership number. 3. Players must bring the voucher with them to check-in for their first match (along with their completed medical release form), or they will be expected to pay the entry fee.
If you plan to use a voucher to play, DO NOT PAY ONLINE! (There will be no way to get your entry fee back.)
First time participants should be sure to read the information on this site.

Withdrawals
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. Click on “Edit Registration”, then “Withdraw.” You will need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after entries close must both be sent in writing by e-mail to tournaments@charlottetennisassociation.com and by phone to tournament site once the tournament has started. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee

Scoring Format
All players are guaranteed two matches. Scoring for the Main Draw and Consolation of the singles divisions will be best of three sets with a Match Tie Break in Lieu of a third set. The singles will be First Match Losers Consolation. An 8 game pro set (with a 7 point tiebreak played at 8-8) will be played for the doubles divisions -- single elimination. In the event of inclement weather, an alternate scoring method may be used.

Awards
Awards will be presented to the Winner and Finalist of the Main Draw for the singles and doubles divisions and Winner and Finalist of the Consolation singles divisions.

Amenities
All players will receive a tennis towel, gift bag, and Dippin' Dots ice cream.

FUTURES RESTRICTIONS
This tournament is a Futures/NC Level 5 event. Therefore, this tournament restricts those players that are ranked too high in the NC standings from playing. Please refer to the chart below to see each division’s restriction: Boys/Girls 18s: Top 50 in NC are ineligible for this tournament. Boys/Girls 16s: Top 80 in NC are ineligible for this tournament. Boys/Girls 14s: Top 80 in NC are ineligible for this tournament. Boys/Girls 12s: Top 80 in NC are ineligible for this tournament. Boys/Girls 10s: Top 10 in NC are ineligible for this tournament.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are ineligible for one division, you are ineligible for all divisions. (i.e.) If you are ranked 80 or higher in the Girls 12s, you are also INELIGIBLE for the Girls 10s, 14s, 16s, and 18s.

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, June 15, 2009 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
