Common Tennis Injury Prevention, Treatment , and Rehabilitation Seminar
Join your fellow players for a FREE Wine and Cheese social and learn more about your body. This is an interactive seminar for the players on Saturday from 6pm - 7pm, at NOLTC. Andy Massey the head athletic trainer for Tulane University, and Dr. "Buddy" Savoie the orthopaedic specialist for Tulane athletics will be giving the seminar. There will be a presentation, then an interactive question and answer session toward the end of the program which both experts feel will be very informative.

Tournament Registration Desk
Registration will be from 1pm - 5:30pm on Friday and on Saturday from 8:30am - 11:00am. All players MUST check in with the tournament desk before their first match, where the players will receive their welcome bag.

Social Event Attire
Saturday's seminar is casual. Attire for the Sunday night party at Harrah's Hotel is Jacket Requested for Gentlemen. Attire for the social event on Tuesday night at the Club is Jacket Required for Gentlemen. Please plan accordingly.

Playing Attire and Shoes
All players MUST wear a collared shirt or a t-shirt that has the NOLTC logo during both practice and tournament matches. Shoes must be regulation tennis shoes with a smooth sole for claycourts, no running shoes or tennis shoes with very wide treads on the sole will be allowed.

Singles and Doubles CONSOLATION
There is a consolation draw for BOTH singles and doubles. This consolation is for FIRST MATCH LOSERS ONLY. Also, the consolation is OPTIONAL. You are not automatically put in the consolation draw. If a player or team loses their first match, they MUST notify MIKE BRYAN to be entered into the respective consolation draws. Keep in mind that we CANNOT form either of the consolation draws until all players have completed their first match. This may mean that players in the consolation draws may have a day off before the consolation events start.

Doubles Schedule
The first round of doubles will be played on Saturday following singles matches. Any doubles teams not receiving a bye should be available for play on Saturday. Doubles matches will begin after 1:00pm.

Massage Therapist
Licensed Massage Therapists Karen Robichaux and Ann Wilde are availble for appointments during the tournament. Both NOLTC massage therpaists are certified in pain management, sports injury treatment and prevention as well as sports specific stretching and massage. We suggest that you schedule appointments in advance. Karen can be reached at 504-296-3553, Ann at 985-320-1016. Prices are $45.00 for a half hour, $75.00 for an hour and $105.00 for an hour and a half.

Pets
NO PETS are allowed on the property. Please don't plan to bring your pet and leave it in the car or tie it up somewhere outside of the clubhouse.

PLEASE NOTE THE SCHEDULE. THIS TOURNAMENT STARTS ON A WEDNESDAY AND
ENDS ON A TUESDAY. This is just for this year because of the NCAA
FINAL FOUR BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT. The club was concerned about
hotel room availability.
No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Saturday, March 19, 2011 9:00:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
