PLAYER FIRST MATCH CHECK-IN
All players must initially check in at the Family Circle Tennis Center at least one hour PRIOR to their first scheduled match. Early check-in will be available on Friday, February 23rd from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm OR for Saturday First Matches, check in on Saturday, February 24th from 7:00 am until 10:00 am. After initial check-in, all players should report directly to designated sites for scheduled matches. A MANDATORY RELEASE form must be signed by each player's parent/guardian prior to first match.

DON'T BE LATE FOR MATCH CHECK IN!
With the large number of players and various match sites, it is imperative that every player check in at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled match time at designated site. Penalties will be assessed for lateness as determined by the onsite referee who is the official timekeeper. We appreciate you being on time.

All players' parent/guardian must sign a release form prior to first match. Please download, complete, and bring signed form to player check-in.

SITES AND SURFACES
Boys and Girls 16s and 18s will be played on clay courts, primarily at the Family Circle Tennis Center (FCTC) and as needed at the Daniel Island Club Tennis Pavilion (DIC) and Snee Farm (SFarm). Boys and Girls 14s will be played on hard courts at the College of Charleston Tennis Center (CC) near Patriot's Point. Boys and Girls 12s will be played on hard courts at Whipple (WHIP) and as needed at SFarm. Boys and Girls 10s will be played on hard courts at FCTC and as needed at DIC. The Family Circle Tennis Center is located at 161 Seven Farms Drive on Daniel Island. The Daniel Island Club Tennis Pavilion is located at 715 Island Park Drive on Daniel Island. Whipple is located at the Kerr Tennis Center at 889 Whipple Road in Mt. Pleasant. Snee Farm Country Club is located at 1200 Club Drive in Mt. Pleasant. The College of Charleston Tennis Center is located on Patriots Point Boulevard in Mt. Pleasant. Directions to all sites will be available at check-in registration.

DOUBLES PLAY ENCOURAGED
Beginning January 1, 2007 the USTA will start tracking the points earned from doubles play. In September 2007, preliminary and unofficial combined ranking lists will be published in "parallel standings" to make junior players aware of how the system will work and to demonstrate the impact doubles will have on rankings. Rankings will be calculated as follows: 100% of singles points from a player's best 6 singles tournaments plus 15% of the doubles points from a player's best 6 doubles tournament play.

SELECTION / SEEDING
Selection and Seeding will be determined based on current National, Regional, and State rankings. Upon selection, only the credit cards of players who qualify as Competitors will be charged. A ranked Alternates List will be posted and updated as needed. This is a South Carolina Level 2 and Southern Level 4 tournament.

DRAW SIZE / SCORING FORMAT
Boys and Girls 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s will each have a draw size of 64 players for Singles and 32 players for Doubles. Boys and Girls 10s will each have a draw size of 32 players for Singles and 16 players for Doubles. All age divisions will play the best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set through the Quarterfinals. All Singles Semifinals and Finals for Boys and Girls 12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s will be the best 2 out of 3 sets. The Boys and Girls 10s Semifinals and Finals will be the best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set. All age divisions will play an 8 game pro set for Doubles.

CONSOLATION ROUNDS
Every Singles player is guaranteed two matches. If a player wins his 1st round Main Draw match, he continues to play out the Main Draw until he loses. If a player loses his first round Main Draw match, he plays one round of consolation only. Win or lose consolation ends after one round of play.

WITHDRAWALS
All withdrawals prior to entry deadline (February 19th) should be completed on tournament webpage online by player. Withdrawals after the February 19th registration deadline should be emailed to smashjrcup@bellsouth.net stating the player's name, age division, and reason for withdrawal. Refunds will not be given to players who withdraw within the seven days prior to the tournament start date.

AVOIDANCE REQUESTS
Siblings, doubles partners and players from the same club playing in the same divisions should email their names / relationships to smashjrcup@bellsouth.net to avoid possibly playing each other in the first round.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the event of inclement weather, alternate scoring (no-ad scoring and/or third set tiebreakers) will be implemented followed by canceling consolation and doubles rounds. Players will be informed of any changes primarily by the referee at their assigned site and secondarily by website updates.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, February 19, 2007 5:00:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
