Match Times
Draws are posted with most matches scheduled. Some matches in 65's & Open Singles have two rounds of matches scheduled at the same time. That means there is a chance that the earlier round match may not happen and the second round match can then occur without delay. On the other hand, if the earlier round match does happen, then the later match time will change to follow the earlier match or move to the next day. *** SUNDAY's schedule is very teantive. Some of the 65's Doubles, for instance, may very well happen earlier if those players are no longer in the singles draw. Draws and match times will be updated at the end of each day's matches. Please email the tournament director with any questions about your particular situation.

Notes
General Tournament Information
All of River Trails' tournaments play out the
first-match-consolation draws to provide all of our participants at
least two matches. Most of our summer tournaments are played on our
well-maintained outdoor clay courts. Visit our new website to see
more about the club at www.rivertrailstennis.net.
Tournament Officiating
A roaming USTA official will be monitoring the courts with
additional assistance at the tournament desk.
Scoring
This event will play two sets of regular scoring with a match
tie-breaker instead of a full third set. The new USTA rule also
allows for a 3-minute break before the match tie-breaker with
coaching allowed. In case of bad weather, indoor hard courts and
alternate scoring may be used.
Schedule of Play
If draws are larger, we will probably play a first round of matches
on Friday evening, followed by two rounds on Saturday, and one or
two rounds on Sunday. If draws are smaller, we may start first
round matches on Saturday, playing two rounds on Saturday and
finishing the draw on Sunday. In the past, the Open and 65's
Singles have been large enough for first round matches to begin on
Friday night.
Draw Size
Initially we will be limiting all draws to 16 players in each. If
one draw is smaller, it may allow for another draw to take more
than 16.
Selection Process
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the
close of registration.
First Match Times
First and second match times will be listed on the draws by
Wednesday 9pm when they are posted online and at the front desk of
the club.
Check-In
All players should check in to the tournament desk 30 minutes
before their first match and 15 minutes before each following
match. Lateness penalties will be enforced by the clock posted at
the tournament desk. Players must allow time for travel and travel
difficulties.
Withdraws/Midwest Suspension Point
System
If you need to withdraw while registration is still open, please go
to our homepage and in the left margin click on "Edit Registration"
and proceed to withdraw. No reason is necessary while the
registration is still open. If registration has closed and
tournament has not begun yet, please email the tournament director
and list the reason for withdraw. If tournament has begun, please
call the tournament director. REMEMBER when
withdrawing from a USTA event once the selections have been made,
the only reasons that are accepted by the USTA Referee without
incurring FIVE (5) suspension points are injury, illness or family
emergency. Having a soccer game, a family dinner, or not feeling
like playing the consolation are not accepted reasons.
Signing Up for Two Events/Midwest Suspension Point
System
USTA/Midwest Section Suspension Point System The USTA Code of
Conduct and Suspension Point System is in effect. You are expected
to play the entire event as scheduled. The USTA/Midwest Section
Junior Competition Committee has adopted a new Suspension Point
System. All players will be given FIVE (5) suspension points for
entering two or more tournaments that take place at the same time,
in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved
agrees with the multiple entries in writing. This applies to all
players who signed up for the tournament including
alternates.
