Notes
PLEASE CHECK YOUR DRAW FRIDAY NIGHT AFTER 9PM AND BEFORE YOU
LEAVE ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY FOR YOUR MATCHES. THERE WILL BE LATE
WITHDRAWALS AND WE WILL TRY TO CONTACT YOU BUT IN CASE WE CANNOT WE
WILL POST UP ANY WITHDRAWALS WE HAVE BY 7PM FRIDAY. THE TOURNAMENT
IS NOW CLOSED AND THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER ADDITIONS TO REPLACE
WITHDRAWALS. WE NOW HAVE TO FOCUS ON GETTING READY TO RUN THE
TOURNAMENT. Draw notes: the Girls 12 singles and doubles is so far
only scheduled for the first weekend. We have time problems with
some players for the second weekend but want to see who gets
through and will work them out as best as possible. Draw notes on
SAT tests on May 7: I did my best starting the 18's and 16's at
12:30pm but could not start later because we have 3 rounds between
singles and doubles for all events that day. Please do not call or
email because the times cannot be changed for SAT's on that day.
Anaheim Tennis Center is pleased to welcome Mercury Insurance as
our main sponsor for the tournament. Mercury is generously
supplying back packs for all players and, if their parents call for
an insurance quote, will get free tickets to the La Costa
tournament. ANAHEIM ENTRIES Please be advised that Ojai is allowing
players to enter the Anaheim Designated Tournament. Weather
permitting, only the semifinals and finals will be played on
Saturday April 30th. If players advance in Ojai and their playing
schedules do not permit them to play in the Anaheim Tournament,
they can withdraw from the above tournament without suspension
points, provided they inform Darren Potkey at SCTA in a timely
manner. The Anaheim Tennis Center Junior Open Tournament is a
designated tournament for national endorsement. Singles in the
18,16, and 14 divisions will be best of three sets. In the 10's and
12 singles divisions the matches will be two sets and a 10 point or
match tiebreak instead of a third set. Doubles in all divisions
will be 2 sets and a 10 point tiebreak. Players are limited to one
singles and one doubles event. This year players may enter a
different age group in doubles than singles, i.e. a player may
enter 12 singles and 14 doubles. Players must enter with a doubles
partner, the tournament does not find partners. Players must let
the tournament know before the draw about SAT tests(ONLY ON THE
FIRST SATURDAY 4/30. SAT TESTS CANNOT BE ACCOMODATED ON THE SECOND
SATURDAY 5/7. BECAUSE 5/7 THE 18'S, 16'. AND 14'S WILL HAVE 2
ROUNDS OF SINGLES AND AT LEAST 1 ROUND OF DOUBLES THAT DAY.) or
other time conflicts. After the draw is made we may not be able to
accomodate. If you do have a time conflict you should prbably enter
only one event. We are looking forward to another well run event.
Refer back to this page for further updates. Enter the tournament
online or by mail. Phone entries: add an additional $5.00. No fax
entries as they are not reliable. If we have wait lists and you get
in late on a withdrawl there is an extra $5.00 charge.
