Due to the weather, match times are subject to change. We have secured some indoor court space for a handful of matches. However, many of the matches we will not have space for and will have to wait for the rain to subside.

Matches with a scheduled start time of 2pm or earlier
1. Please call Gates Tennis Center at 303-355-4461 to find out the status of your match.
2. If you have access to indoor courts, we are granting permission to play offsite if all parties agree. If you choose to play offsite indoors, court costs are at your own expense. You must notify the tournament where and when you will be playing.
3. If you choose not to play offsite, we will reschedule your match. Please check the draws on a regular basis.

Matches with a scheduled start time of 3pm or later
1. All scheduled match times are still on as planned.
2. But based on the weather forecast, you may ask for approval from the tournament desk to play offsite. In addition to approval from the tournament desk, all parties must agree to play offsite. If you choose to play offsite indoors, court costs are at your own expense.
3. The tournament website will be updated regularly with more information.

Some area indoor clubs have generously provided special offers for Colorado State Open matches. If you are interested in booking a court for your match with one of these facilities, please call them directly. Above policies are in effect for requiring all parties to agree and get State Open approval for afternoon match times. Please see the list of clubs below:

All NTRP and Family Divisions start Friday Sept 7th and are scheduled all day on weekends and after 3:30pm M-F. Age Divisions start Monday Sept 10th and are scheduled 8am-5pm M-F. Open Divisions start Monday Sept 10th and can be scheduled anytime, but generally after 2pm M-F

Registration deadline is Wednesday, August 29 - 6pm at Gates or 11:59pm online. Online registration available on Tennis Link also available through Gates Tennis Center homepage.

Draws will be posted Wednesday Sept 5th at 12noon - it is the responsibility of the participant to obtain his/her match times. Participants will NOT be called for match time reminders.

Any draw with less than eight entrants may be canceled, combined or formatted differently. (ie: made into a round robin) Your money will be refunded only if your event is canceled.

Avoidance requests may be submitted here by Friday, August 31 to be considered when making the draw. Requests are never guaranteed, but match time avoidances are generally easier to accommodate than match time conflict requests after the draws are made. more info

Due to the tremendous number of entries and difficulty in altering the tournament schedule with such a large event, match time conflict requests are rarely accommodated. If you still choose to submit a formal request, there is a $5 application fee, whether the request is granted or not. This fee is donated to the “Tennis for Kids” Youth Scholarship Fund. The fee is designed to discourage requests after the draw has been made. Requests must be submitted here more info

Participants must be able to play at designated times – absolutely no refunds after registration deadline.

All Open Level divisions (and, the 35 and over divisions) are prize money events. Prize money distribution is listed on the website. Travel Stipends and housing are available for Top 8 seeds.

Student Athletes cannot be awarded prize money under amateur and NCAA rules and do not receive expense reimbursement or stipends from the Colorado State Open.

The Colorado State Open is a ticketed event with a $25,000 purse. Tickets for spectators are $3 for early rounds, $5 for later rounds, and $10 for an All-Tournament Pass. All participants receive unlimited access throughout the entire event. All participants will also receive four (4) complimentary tickets for guests. Children under 12 are free.

All decisions are final by the Tournament Director.
