Doubles Selection
Everyone will receive an email from TennisLink stating that they did not get into doubles when singles selections are done. Please IGNORE this email. All players in the singles draw are welcome to play doubles. Emails to the tournament director giving doubles pairings will be accepted until Thursday, June 22 at 11:59pm.
Doubles pairing listed online will be periodically updated through Friday morning as emails are received regarding pairings. Keep in mind that these listings do not guarentee entrance into the doubles draws, as selection will still need to be made Friday morning. This mainly effects endorsed alternates wanting to play doubles.

How to Qualify for this tournament.
QUALIFYING
Each district in the Midwest has a qualifying tournament. Each player has to play in their district qualifier event in order to play in the Midwest Closed. Each district has quota spots that reserve a certain number in the draw for that district. The quota spots are determined by junior membership in the district. The district decides how their quota spots are to be filled. Each district has a boys and girls endorser. The endorser is responsible for turning the endorsed players list into the sectional office. The players on the list are the ones to get into the tournament. ***If a player is not endorsed by their district and their name does not appear on that list, he/she will NOT get into the tournament no matter their ranking***. Please find out from your district endorser about this process and FIND OUT IF YOUR NAME HAS BEEN SUBMITTED as a "QUOTA" player, an "ALTERNATE" or your name has NOT BEEN INCLUDED on the endorsment list.

********* Doubles Selection Process: All doubles players must appear on their District Endorsement singles list in order to be considered for a doubles event. Teams will be accepted into the main doubles draw in the following order: 1. Teams that are made up of players accepted in the same age division as the main singles draw 2. Teams that are made up of one player accepted in the main singles draw and their partner is an alternate to the same age division as the main singles draw. 3. Teams that are made up of players that are alternates to the same age division as the main singles draw. 4. In the event of a tie, teams will be selected by the highest sum of each players' USTA/Midwest Section Doubles Standing List Position. 5. Any player selected for singles in any age division.
(That would mean that a 16 and under and an 18 and under who register for doubles in one of the age divisions would be the LAST PRIORITY to be selected into that doubles draw even if both players are high ranking players in their respective divisions.)
