USTA National Men's 75 & 80 Clay Court Championships

The Virginia Beach Resort Hotel & Conference Center is serving as the host hotel for our event. The hotel is located on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay and is an all-suites facility. The hotel is located within five minutes of the Virginia Beach Tennis and Country Club and offers shuttle service between the facilities. Practice courts will be available at the Virginia Beach Tennis & Country Club prior to and during parts of the tournament. Courts prior to the start of the tournament can be reserved by calling the pro shop at (757)481-7545, ext. 0. You may book courts 3 days in advance in one hour increments.

Doubles sign-ups will be taken until Monday, August 29th at noon. Doubles play will start Tuesday, August 30th, following singles play.

Consolation matches will start on Tuesday, August 30th.

The player party will be held on Wednesday, August 31st at 6:00p.m. at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel & Conference Center. Attire is casual.

UNFORTUNATELY, THE TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. THE STATE OF VIRGINIA, ALONG WITH 4 BORDERING STATES, HAS DECLARED A STATE OF EMERGENCY. AS OF 4:00PM TODAY, THE EYE OF HURRICANE IRENE HAS TAKEN THE PATH TOWARDS THE VIRGINIA BEACH/NORFOLK AREA. WE ARE WORKING WITH THE USTA TO TRY AND RESCHEDULE THE TOURNAMENT WITHIN THE NEXT MONTH OR TWO. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE, BUT CERTAINLY DO NOT WANT TO HAVE PLAYERS COME TO AN AREA THAT COULD BE POTENTIALLY UNSAFE. ONCE WE HAVE DETERMINED WHETHER WE CAN LOCK IN ANOTHER DATE, I WILL CONTACT YOU. IF IT DOES NOT WORK OUT FOR ANOTHER DATE OR FOR YOU PERSONALLY, WE WILL COME UP WITH A REFUND PLAN AT THAT TIME. The USTA has approved a make up date of October 31st through November 4th, 2011. We will soon have a new tournament ID number to reference for information. I will post it online as soon as I have it. The tournament will be "open" for new players as well as those previously signed up. I will be calling everyone who had been signed up for the original date to check on your availability status. I certainly hope everyone can make the new date!
