Doubles Seeding & Draw
Doubles Seeding will be done Monday after all players have entered. If you have any input for doubles seeding, please feel free to send it to me: llambert@parkcity.org . Doubles will begin mid-day Tuesday.

Courts at Facility
When you get to Salt Lake Swim & Tennis Club - there are 2 banks of courts. The tournament will be played only on the "bubble" courts. We will have practice courts in the bubble all weekend.

Practice Courts
There will be balls and courts set aside all day Saturday and Sunday before the tournament starts for players to practice at no charge. Generally there is no problem with court availability. If you feel you must reserve a court at a certain time, you can call the front desk to reserve your court. 801-487-3206. Cost will be $22/hr over the weekend. During the tournament, there will be 1 or 2 practice courts for players to use at no charge. If, during the tournament, you would like to reserve a practice court, the cost will be $25/hr. The club will be open until 8:30 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Player Party
Players and families are welcome to come to the Player Party hosted upstairs at the Salt Lake Swim & Tennis Club. Food will be buffet style and will start at 6:00.

Location Change!
The Park City Racquet Club will be undergoing a major renovation (total demolition of old building and brand new Rec Center in the works!) as of August 2010. Therefore, the Men's National 40s for April 2011 will be played at Salt Lake Swim & Tennis Club. Laurie Lambert will still be the tournament director, working with Ian Rothfels from the Salt Lake Tennis & Swim Club.
Salt Lake Swim & Tennis is 15 minutes from the Salt Lake Airport and is situated at 5000 feet altitude. High altitude balls are still used. Their phone number is 801-487-3206

Directions to Salt Lake Swim & Tennis Club
Phone is 801-487-3206. The club is located 15 minutes from the Salt Lake Airport. Take I-80 East from the airport. You will merge onto I-15 for a bit, and then I-80 breaks off again. Follow directions for I-80 East as you cross Salt Lake City. Take the 1300 East exit (SugarHouse). At end of exit ramp, turn left onto 1300 East. Go up to the Sizzler and turn RIGHT onto 2100 South. Follow this up to the high school and turn RIGHT onto 1700 East. Cross over the freeway, and you will immediately see a down ramp to the club. Address is 2471 South 1700 East. Match Format
All matches, including consolation, will be best 2 out of 3 sets, regular scoring. In case of a tie-break, a regular 12 point (not a Coman) tiebreak will be used.

Singles Play Begins...
Depending on draw size, play will begin as early as 8:00am on Monday, April 4. Please fly in on Sunday so you are ready to play Monday first thing.Tournament is scheduled to finish Friday morning if draw size is 64 or less. Most players will have 2 singles matches on Monday.

Doubles Draw Info:
Although the online doubles will close on the last date of entries, players may continue to sign up for doubles until noon on April 4.To sign up after the deadline, send Laurie an e-mail.This allows for players to meet and pair up with other players who are entered into the tournament. The doubles draw will post mid-day Monday. If there are more than 16 teams, there will be play on Monday evening to get the draw down to 16 for Tuesday play. The tournament director does give out player e-mail and phone contacts to other players looking to find partners. If you DO NOT want your contact information given out...please send an e-mail to Laurie.

Consolation Draws:
Please be aware that both the singles and doubles draws have consolation draws. The singles will be a full feed-in consolation and the doubles will be a first match losers consolation. This means that players in the back draw will be playing 2 singles matches per day plus one doubles match if they choose to participate in both consolation draws.

Towels and Water
The club does have towels if players need to use the showers at the locker room while they are playing. Water is on the court, and cups are available, but it is best if you bring your own water bottle.

Player Check-In
The tournament desk will be open from 4:00 - 6:00pm on Sunday, April 3, for player check-in. You are not required to check-in at this time. You may check-in before your first match.

Prize Money...
Unfortunately, because we are in a transition year...with Park City using Salt Lake courts, the sponsor for this year has bowed out. There will be no prize money this year. Sorry!

Order of Play
The tournament will begin singles matches at 8:00am Monday, April 4. The main draw doubles will be in the middle of the day Tuesday - Thursday. Order of play Tuesday - Thursday will be: main singles, 1st match cons. singles, main doubles, 2nd cons. singles, cons. doubles.

NOTE Regarding ITF:
This tournament is sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) as a closed national championship. Singles players in ITF ranking divisions (Women's 35-80 and Men's 35-85) will receive Grade 3 ranking points. All USTA members, regardless of nationality or residence, are welcome to participate in this event.

Dress Code
There is no dress code at this tournament, but mullets are not allowed!

TRAVEL: Players should fly into Salt Lake International Airport, which is located about 40 minutes from Park City. Shuttle service and rental cars are available at the airport.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Friday, March 18, 2011 11:59:00 PM Mountain Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
