Future Match Info Report

FRIDAY MORNING 7:00am - - WE ARE CURRENTLY UNDER A RAIN DELAY. THERE ARE 3 MATCHES SCHEDULED AT 8:30am - - WE ARE GOING TO MOVE THOSE BACK UNTIL 10:00AM. All the indoor courts were full this morning. We won't have an option of using those until noon.

Carol Gay has had to withdraw from the tournament so changes have been made to the 60 doubles and singles. Suella Steel has withdrawn from the 70 singles. Because she was the number 4 seed adjustments had to be made.

All of the draws are posted. The Future Match Time Report in alphabetical order will show your first match time along with draw line number, opponent and partner if doubles. The schedule times are posted for the first two days, Saturday and Sunday. Please let me know if you have any questions.

We have had quite a bit of feedback on the suggested seedings. After speaking with the circuit chairwoman, and seeding assistants, we have made a couple of changes. The women's 60 singles is the only division that has changed as of right now. All emails and phone calls have been discussed as of 11:45am Tuesday, April 5th. This has been a very hard process and we are taking all suggestions into consideration. Thank you for your cooperation. We had seeding assistants for each division and these suggestions were turned into Joc and Mac (tournament director and referee). These ladies spent a lot of time comparing rankings, head vs head records, & tournamentt results to come up with these seedings. If you have a question please email me - Joc@huntsvilletenniscenter.com or call me at 256-883-3988. We will not make the draws until Wednesday, April 6th. So if we have made a mistake, or a correction needs to be made, we will have time. This is a very strong draw, and I'm sure there will be questions.

The housing chairwoman has sent out emails and phone messages to all participants that are scheduled for housing. I know a lot of you are wanting to contact your hosts before you arrive. If you still don't have any information, or have questions, please contact me via email or phone.

We will have the seeds posted Sunday, April 3rd at the latest, and the draws posted Wednesday, April 6th. If you have any questions please feel to contact Joc for any clarification.

Please let us know who your doubles partner is if we do not have you matched up under the competitors list. There are a couple of participants that are registered for doubles, but we do not know who you are playing with. Welcome Party - Friday, April 8th from 4:30pm-6:00pm. We'll have a martini bar set up, snacks, and hand out the players bags. We will introduce our staff and make some announcements. We will serve lunches Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday. Sunday afternoon will be a treat with cobblers and coffee from Kaffee Klatsch, using a 18th/19th century roaster. Monday night we will have a trolley ride - location TBD. Tuesday night Cute Tennis Stuff we be putting on a fashion show. Morning and afternoon snacks, and fruits will be provided daily.

I know several of you have been requesting the names of your housing hosts. We are compiling a list of all the names, and should have this ready by the end of this weekend.

2-22-2011 - - we have received the mailing address labels, and will be putting the entries in the mail Wednesday, March 2nd.

Huntsville International Airport 15-20 minutes away from Huntsville Tennis Center. The nearest two other major airports would be Birmingham, Al ~ 90 miles away & Nashville, Tn ~ 2 hours away.

Unfortunately we won't be able to give out prize money this year. We've been able to give a little bit the past couple of years, but we lost our 2 sponsor's this year that have donated in the past.

We will offer limited housing to seeded players/teams only. We have a limited amount of rooms, and will do our best to accomodate the requests.
