Subway Washington State Games

Couple thoughts on the singles draws. Given the size of the tournament I opted to make it a 2-day tournament. However many people entered 2 singles events making the draw difficult to schedule. Figuring in 90 mins for a match + 60 minutes of rest and 2 singles matches PER DIVISION/PER DAY there is ALOT of potential conflict amongst the draw. I've checked all the singles draws several times and everything looks good. Most of the consolation will start on Sunday (a few consolation matches might have to be played Saturday night). DOUBLES WONT START UNTIL SUNDAY. Also almost all the doubles draw are very small hopefully a few people will sign up during the tournament. Champs divisions will be played at the Whitman outdoor courts and the Challenger/Novice divisions will be played indoors (for the most part). I'm running camps 8am - 4pm during the day and won't be able to return calls/emails until later in the evening. Its is going to be hot, hot, hot in Walla Walla this weekend (around 100) so be prepared for the heat. Plan to drink lots of water, stay in the shade, wear a hat, and lather on the sunscreen. Lastly make sure to check the draws on Friday for any changes. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend Jeff

Going to be working on draws Tuesday afternoon/evening. Hope to have them posted in the evening or Wednesday morning. Because of the small size of the event tournament will start Saturday.

I combined some doubles draws to try to make more feasible draws. Also made a match time change in G16 and G18 champ schedule. Only affects one match and each participant will have already played a match. The time change was necessary to have time Saturday night to play a potential G18 consolation match. Because of a late Saturday match we were not able to complete a final girls 18 Champs consolation match. This has forced some rescheduling of the singles. Priority for tomorrow is to finish up the singles draws BEFORE moving along to doubles. I put some tentative times on the doubles but might have to make some adjustments as the day progresses
