TOURNAMENT UPDATE (Updated Sunday 9:30 pm)
All Monday match times are updated. Names of players that notified the Tournament Director that they are not playing Monday due to school have been sent to USTA-North Carolina. Any other players that elect not to play Monday matches will be given default-no shows according to USTA regulations. Please check in at your match site 30 minutes before your scheduled match time.

FAILURE TO COMPLETE TOURNAMENT
This tournament is scheduled for Saturday through Monday. To avoid any penalty or suspension points, a player must notify the Tournament Director immediately at the conclusion of his/her Sunday play that they will be attending school on Monday so they will not be participatng in play Monday. Tournament Director will email jane@nctennis.com those players who have requested this exemption. Names to be sent Sunday night.

PLAYER’S RESPONSIBILITY
It is the PLAYER’S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner. Check the website often for updated match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TOO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME. ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS. This tournament has a lot of matches to be played, and there will be exceptions for lateness (i.e. traffic etc.)

FORMAT & SCORING
The format is Full Feed-In Consolation. 14s, 16s, and 18s divisions: Main draw plays a full 3rd set and Consolation plays a 10 point tiebreaker instead of a 3rd. 10s and 12s divisions: All matches play a 10 point tiebreak in lieu of the third set.

WITHDRAWALS
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. Click on “Edit Registration,” then “Withdraw.” You will need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after entries close must both be sent in writing by email (to the Tournament Director’s address above) and by phone to the tournament site. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.

IMPORTANT JUNIOR SUSPENSION NOTES
Please note the rules below pertain to ALL sanctioned North Carolina and Southern tournaments.
11. “A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments is scheduled to overlap unless each tournament committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing.”
12. “Player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament.”
What if placed on an Alternate List? There are two options:
1. Stay on the Alternate Lists in hope of getting into the tournament.
2. Withdraw from the alternate list so you can legally enter another tournament.

SEEDING
“Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA/Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Some special criteria may apply. For more information, click the link below to view Seeding Criteria:

RAIN POLICY
There is indoor back-up at Barber Park Indoor Tennis Center in case of a rain-out. Scheduled match times may change when it rains. ALWAYS call to find out if the tournament has gone indoors, or has only been delayed outdoors. Spencer Love: 336-545-5320 Barber Park: 336-373-5886. Do not leave messages on the recorder. DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOUR MATCH TIME HAS STAYED THE SAME on the other hand, DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOUR MATCH TIME HAS CHANGED. Match times are approximate as always, leave plenty of time to get to the main site or alternate sites recommended match check-in time is ½ hour before scheduled match time. Players are responsible for keeping up with their match times and correct sites.
DIRECTIONS TO BARBER PARK
From Raleigh: I-40W. Take Bus. I-40/Bus. I-85 (keep right). Take E. Lee Street exit. Ramp off right. Right turn onto E. Lee Street. Left turn onto Florida Street at first stoplight. ½ mile Left turn into park. Courts are straight ahead.
From Charlotte: I-85N to exit 120 (to Business I-85N to I-40W). Follow Bus. I-85 N. Follow to E. Lee Street exit. Ramp off right. Left turn onto E. Lee Street. Left turn onto Florida Street at first stoplight. ½ mile Left turn into park. Courts are straight ahead.
From Winston-Salem: I-40E. Take Bus. I-40 E. Follow to E. Lee Street exit. Ramp off right. Left turn onto E. Lee Street. Left turn onto Florida Street at first stoplight. ½ mile Left turn into park. Courts are straight ahead.
From Spencer Love: Right out of park onto Pisgah Church Rd. Left onto Battleground Ave. After 5-10 minutes, Battleground becomes Murrow Blvd. At end of Murrow, left turn onto E. Lee St. After about 5 minutes, right turn onto E. Florida St. ½ mile Left turn into park. Courts are straight ahead.

LIMITED DRAWS & SELECTION PROCESS
Because this is a STA Level 3 event, the following Selection Process was used:
Top 32 players applying from the USTA/STA latest standings list: 28 players from this age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 40 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 28, will be selected.
The names of the player who have been selected will appear as competitors.
Alternates are listed in the report section. DO NOT refer to the alternates on the far left side of the web page (that list is not updated).
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines:
• Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division (they will be removed from the other age division).
• Players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list (they will be removed from the alternate list in the other division).
• Players selected to one age division will be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected.
• Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.
The selection list will be posted at 12 NOON ON Monday, April 19, 2009.

ALTERNATES (Boys 16s and 14s only)
The Alternate List for Boys 16s and Boys 14s will be updated daily under the Reports section of this page. If you do not want to be on the alternate list, please contact the tournament at 336- 545-5320 to withdraw. The alternates by event report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you realize that you can not participate. It is the alternates’ responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status does change providing the correct information is on your membership profile. Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, April 18, 2010 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
