Sunset Hills Adult Spring NTRP (GA Level III-150 pts)

Here is the plan for Sunday. We will be playing shorts sets (all sets begin at 2-2) with a 10 point tie break in place of a third set. This will help speed the matches and allow us to get in as much play as possible. We have are planning on matches lasting one hour and will give you at least one hour to rest before you are back on court. In accordance with USTA rules we have scheduled each player with a max of two matches per day per division. If you are in two divisions you may have up to four matches a day. If you and your opponent agree you may go above this limit, we will ask you if this is the situation. If you see a match on the draw without a time we will try to schedule it when the previous match completes.

Everyone has a 1st match time listed for Sunday. I will be adding more information this evening about matches later in the day on Sunday. This draw with players in more than one division + weather + consolation has make for a very complex schedule for Sunday. Rest assured we will figure out the puzzle for Sunday play. Everyone please cross your fingers for dry courts in the morning.

The Sunday Draws are proving to be more difficult than I thought to work out. All draws will be posted by 6:00pm

It is now 12:00, All Saturday play has been cancelled due to the rain. It is raining now and the radar does not look good for the rest of the day. All play will be rescheduled for Sunday with matches beginning as early as 8:00am. Please check you draw after 4:00pm today for your new match time.

It is now 10:00am am on Saturday and we are now on a 5 hour rain delay. ALL MATCH TIMES HAVE BEEN UPDATED ON THE DRAWS AND ARE CORRECT, THE TIME YOU NOW SEE IS YOUR NEW MATCH TIME. If you have a match scheduled to begin after 8:00pm it WILL NOT HAPPEN TODAY!! These match times will be removed and rescheduled for Sunday. All Sunday matches will be rescheduled to allow for the rain. I will have a complete Sunday schedule posted here by 4:00pm Our next weather update will be at 12:00pm. At that time if the forecast still does not look good we will cancel all Saturday play and reschedule for Sunday with a shortened scoring format. Please check back at 12:00.

After review and consultation with USTA Georgia the Men’s Open division has been changed from NTRP Open to Men’s Open. With this change the information used to seed the tournament has been updated which required a change in the draw. All match times remain the same but two players were moved in the draws to correct the seeding. Again, you match times are still the same but you may have a different opponent for your first match.

All times are now posted. A few finals have not been scheduled yet. These times will be determined as the tournament progresses. Cross your fingers for dry weather!

In the event of inclement weather and you do not play any matches in this tournament you are entitled to a full credit toward a future Sunset Hills Tournament. If a player would like a refund, you are entitled to a 75% refund. Please understand that tournaments have fixed costs which include: Trophies, T-shirts, Balls, USTA Referees, and many other costs that we must cover. The TennisLink portion of your entry fee is non-refundable in accordance with USTA policy. If you do complete a match there is no refund/credit. Thank you for your understanding.

from Atlanta: (approximately 50 miles) travel i-20 west to exit 24 (hwy. 61)-at the traffic light turn left and go across the bridge onto hwy. 61 south. travel approximately 12 miles to the intersection of hwy. 61 & 166 by pass - turn left on the 166 by pass at the traffic light. (this is 166 west, past the movie theater, ford dealership, and longhorn steakhouse, not 166 east which you will pass first) travel approximately 6 miles on the 166 by pass till it dead ends into maple street – at the traffic light turn right onto maple street – travel approximately 1 mile on maple street – turn right onto club drive at the sunset hills country club sign. (across from the university of West Georgia). Continue traveling on club drive to the stop sign - turn right at the stop sign onto west club drive - the club house is on the left.
