York SummerFest Grand Prix IV - SC L 4

ATTENTION ALL APPLICANTS!! The York Summerfest Tennis Tournament has been canceled due to total amount of entries received. All those who applied online will receive a full refund of their entry fees, including the $3.00 online USTA fee. Please give us 10-14 days to send the refund check to your address. If you have "NOT" entered your address on the USTA website, please email your address to the tournament director ASAP. If you have not received your check within 2 weeks, please email the Director as we probably do not have your contact information from the USTA. Thank You for applying and hopefully next year we will have the date of the event during the Summerfest weekend.

Inclement Weather guidelines will be followed under the Friend of Court provided by the USTA. The tournament referee will make the call if there are problems with inclement weather. Time avoidances can not be guaranteed in the case of rain.

Fees are $28.00 for first event. $18.00 for second event. Water & Fruit will be provided for all participants. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, & a possible door prize.

Match times will be posted by Thursday @ 6:00pm. Matches may start on Friday evening, depending on draw size. All players must arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to scheduled time.

Sites: York Middle School (Old High School).

All draws will be First Match Consolation. Each player will be guaranteed at least (2) matches per event. Any draw with (4) or less entries will use a round robin format.

All matches for singles & doubles will be best (2) of (3) sets. A match tie-breaker to (10 pts.) will be used in lieu of a third set being played out.

Awards will be given for winners & runner-ups of each event.

Any avoidance requests must be received by Tuesday @ 12:00 noon. August 3rd. We will do our best to work around your request, but can not guarantee if your draw is larger than (8) or if you enter more than (1) event.

What a great way to practice for the league season. Bring your teammates and have some fun & good competition in one of the combo doubles events. Combo will be played for all doubles events including Men's, Women's, Seniors, & Mixed. We even offer senior mixed doubles in combo. Spread the word & we will see you on the courts.
