Rock Hill City Championships at the Come See Me Festival Grand Prix II - SC L 3

Please check your draw to make sure you are at Rock Hill Tennis Center or at Winthrop University. All main draw finals for juniors & adults will be at Rock Hill Tennis Center. Thank You.

All matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with the 3rd set being played out for all matches in the main draw and the consolation draws for singles & doubles. In the senior categories, we will use a match tie-breaker in lieu of the third set being played out.

You must check-in 30 minutes prior to your posted match time. The 15 minute default rule will be strictly inforced. We ask that you check the draw sheets after each match to confirm your next match time. The main draw for singles and doubles is a first round consolation type draw. Therefore, you will play again & you are not out of the tournament.

Popular events at the Come See Me Festival during the tournament: Friday - Beach Bash 5:30pm - 10:00pm, Saturday - Fun Run (8:00-8:30am), Road Race (8:30am - 9:00am), Sulivan Festival & Car Show (10:00am), Gormet Gardens (11am-7pm @ Cherry Park acroos the street from tennis center), Bluegrass & BBQ (4-8pm). PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO PARTICIPATE IN ONE OF THE RUNS ON SATURDAY MORNING BY TUESDAY @ 12 NOON SO THAT WE MAY SCHEDULE AFTER THE EVENT.

The Come-See-Me Festival was first held in 1962 as a community project to invite visitors, relatives and friends to see Rock Hill during its most beautiful season. It started as a weekend event and has expanded to 10 days. A central focus of the Festival has always been the historic, award-winning Glencairn Garden, created by Dr. David A. Bigger and given to the City of Rock Hill in 1958. Over 3,500 azaleas are surrounded by camellias, dogwood, wisteria and a variety of flowers and trees. The Come-See-Me Festival is considered the largest, all-volunteer festival in South Carolina and attracts over 125,000 participants and visitors each year. IMPORTANT!!! There are additional park spots behind the tennis center at Sullivan Middle School. We have only 35 spots at the bottom of the hill of the tennis center, with an additional 200 spots behind the courts at the middle school. DIRECTIONS: When you turn left/right onto Maplewood Lane. from Cherry Road, do not turn into the parking lot of the center, continue straight on Maplewood Lane. for 1/8 of a mile, then turn right onto Eden Terrace and then a quick right into the middle school lot by the tennis courts.

Attention all Players!!! Parking at Winthrop University will be busy all day. You must give an extra few minutes to arrive to Winthrop on Saturday morning due to road race traffic. We have given warning to all entrants early enough and lateness will not be tolerated due to traffic. Make preparations to arrive early as the 15 minute default rules will be in effect and penalty games begin immediately once match time has been reached. 897 Maplewood Lane, Rock Hill, SC 29730 From I-77 North/South: Take Exit 82 B towards Rock Hill. Turn onto Cherry Road heading west. Continue on Cherry Road for 1 1/4 miles through 5-6 traffic lights. Tennis Center will be on your left. If you have come to Cherry Park or to Blockbuster you have gone to far. CiCi-s Pizza & TCBY are across the street, Little Caesar's Pizza, Penn Station, & Family Dollar are a block just before the center on the same side of the street. Call (803)-326-3842 if you need help. From I-85 take Route #5 or Route 161 towards Rock Hill/York, do not go all the way to Charlotte. Follow Route #5 into Rock Hill & turn left onto Cherry Road. Continue on Cherry Road for 2.1 miles and the tennis center will be on your right.

We will be using two sites for this tournament. Rock Hill Tennis Center - which will use (RHTC) on the draw sheets. Winthrop University - (WIN) on the draw sheets. If you play at Winthrop University, you must check-in for your first match only at Rock Hill Tennis Center. For every martch after that, you may go straight to the site.

The tournament referee will make any decisions on matters related to inclement weather for the event.

Players may ask for an avoidance request if received by Tuesday, April 13th @ 12:00p.m. Draws with (12) or more players, can expect to play on Friday evening. If you are in more than one event, you can expect to play on Friday as well.

Players may receive a RHTC t-shirt or a tournament gift based on what's available at the time of your check-in. All winners and runner-ups for each event will receive an award. We will not be offering a lunch due to the events available at the Come See Me Festival:

If there are 3 or less entries in any event, we may combine with another event to make a larger draw. Please email the Director if you choose not to be moved to another event before Tuesday @ 12 noon. If you choose to withdraw from the tournament, you must go to the usta website & follow the same steps you completed to enter, but click on withdraw & follow directions. Once the draws are posted, we can not refund entry fees.

Within walking distance: CiCi's Pizza, Sammy's Bar & Grill, Little Caesars Pizza, TCBY, Little Cafe Family Restaurant, Penn Station Subs, Burk's BBQ, TOYO Sushi, Majestic Cafe. We also have a small concession area that provides snacks, sodas, bottled water & powerade to our customers. Within 1/4 - 1/2 mile drive: Chick-fil-a, Wendy's, Arby's, McDonalds, Subway, Bojangles, Jack-in-the-box, Starbucks, OutBack, Taco Bell, KFC, Thai House, Burger King, Jersey Mikes, Lee's, Wing King Cafe, & Firebonz.

Yes!!! We will be hosting a junior tournament as well this weekend. If your kids would like to play as well, have them sign up online at tournament ID # 704117310. Both are level 3 SC state tournaments.
