TRAFFIC
On Friday, October 1, and Saturday, October 2, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., drivers should expect minor delays on Louis Stephens Road near Green Hope Elementary and the Cary Tennis Park while crews install a median and crosswalk at each location. At times, traffic will be reduced to one lane. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic. The work is part of the Green Hope Elementary School Park Renovations project.

Attention Players and Parents
Please read the entire web page prior to sending an email. On average we receive hundreds of emails per event. Most questions can be answered on this page. We will not respond to your email if the information is on the homepage.
Players do not have to check-in at the main site if all fees are paid. Players need to report to their first match with signed medical waiver. Please do not fax to us.

Communication with Tournament Director
Please email all communication to Jonathan.fralick@townofcary.org. This helps provide an electronic copy to all concerns, withdrawals, and changes. The tournament desk phone is (919) 481-5090 and will be activated on the first day of the event at 8:00 am. Please do not leave messages on this phone, they will not be returned. All withdrawals must be done by email.

Tournament Timeline
September 19th, 2010 Entries Close at 11:59 pm
September 20th all late entries will be placed on an alternate list below the players not selected for the event that entered on time that do not affect seeding
September 21st selection list posted 8:25 pm
September 26th refunds will be given until 5:00 pm dated email (no phone calls)
September 30th, 2010 all draws will be posted by 5:00 pm
October 1, 2010 check-in will be held from 3:00 pm- 5:00 pm at the CTP (player pizza party from 5:00-7:00)
October 1, 2010 doubles begin at 5:00 pm
October 2, 2010 play begins 8:00 am (players need to bring signed medical waiver to their first match)

Late Entries
After the 12 midnight deadline on September 19, players may still be added to alternate list but they must be placed at the end of the list regardless of their ranking.

Format and scoring
Draws will be 64 players with a Full Feed In through the Quarters and 3rd/4th playoff. Main Draw will play the best two out of three tie-break sets. Feed-in will be the best of three sets playing a 10 point match tie break in lieu of third set. Main Draw will play two rounds each day.The Consolation draws will play one match on Saturday, three matches on Sunday and three on Monday. In the event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change.

Selection Process
Top 64 players applying from the USTA/Southern latest STANDINGS LIST. 56 players from this age group will be selected and up to 8 players from the younger age group who are eligible from the younger age group, who have a standing in the top 80 of the younger age group, and are not in the selected 56, will be selected. The names of the player who have been selected will appear as COMPETITORS. Alternates are listed in the REPORT SECTION. DO NOT REFER TO THE ALTERNATES ON THE FAR LEFT SIDE OF THE WEB PAGE (That list is not updated).

Entering Two Tournaments
Do not enter two tournaments at the same time. How to avoid Penalties: If you end up on the alternate list, you must with-draw from the alternate list first and then enter the 2nd event. Tournaments have different deadlines that will allow you time to make your changes. more info

Turn left onto High House Road.

Signing up for 2 divisions
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt. list. They would be removed from the Alternate list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division woud be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

Alternates
An ORDERED ALTERNATES REPORT will be posted above. This is the order you will be contacted for any open spots. If you accept a spot, you must call in with your credit card number or overnight a check to cover your entry fee. Since you were not selected in the initial batch, your original credit card was never processed. An Alternate will not be listed as a Competitor until the entry fee has been received.

Parents (or players who are 18) must sign a USTA Medical Release form to drop off at registration or at the turnament desk.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, September 19, 2010 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
