Player Reporting
All players should report to their playing site 15 min prior to match time. Two sites will be used: Houndslake Country Club (HL) and Odell Weeks tennis center (OW). Tournament gifts may be picked up at Houndslake anytime during the tourney. Address for Weeks Center is 1745 Two Notch Rd, Aiken, SC 29803.

From Houndslake (HL) to Odell Weeks (OW)
From HL tennis courts go to traffic light on Bypass/Hitchcock Parkway (Highway 118) and turn right.
Continue on Hwy 118 through 3 traffic lights to Two Notch Road.
Two Notch Road is first road after traffic light.
Turn left on Two Notch courts will be on the left.

Friday Lunch
Pizza will be sponsored by Paige Tiffany, attorney-at- law. Pizza will be served at Houndslake CC at noon.

Friday Night appetizers at Outback Steakhouse in Aiken
All the participants of the "Southside Pediatrics Junior Challenger"will get a free appetizer coupon at the Aiken Outback for Friday night. These coupons could be redeemed any time July 3-5. No cash value.

Saturday Lunch
Lunch will be provided by the "Old Aiken Market" at Houndslake CC at 11:30 am.

Doubles Registration
If you wish to play doubles but do not have a partner, go ahead and sign up. We will do our best to get you a doubles partner. No guarantees. There will be no registration for doubles at the tournament site. If you have already registered for singles but no for doubles, send me an email to arturocosta@hotmail.com so that I can add you to the doubles event (list the age group). I need to receive that email no later than Tuesday night at 11:59 pm.

Friday July 3rd Play times
On Friday July the 3rd we anticipate that people would have the day off since July 4th lands on a Saturday. Therefore, we will try to get as much play on that Friday. Matches should start around noon.

Match Format for Boys and Girls 10-18s
All divisions will play a best 2 out of 3 sets. A 10 point tiebreaker will be played in lieu of the third set.

8s and under/10s and under beginner
Matches will be played on a 60 feet court with low compression balls (orange balls). The matches will be played Saturday July 4th starting at 9 am. Matches will be played with a modified scoring (best 2 out of 3 sets, sets first to 4 games, with no ad scoring). If your child is 10 and under and has recently started played tennis, he/she can play in the 60 feet court court with low compression balls. Since the tennislink system would only allow you to sign up for 10s an under (boys or girls), you must sign them up first to get in the tournament. Then, YOU MUST SEND ME AN EMAIL TO arturocosta@hotmail.com so that I can move them to the right category.

Events
We recomend to all participants to sign up for SINGLES and DOUBLES. The tournament fee is the same ($35), regardless if you enter singles and/or doubles. Tennislink does however charge a $6 registration fee. We do NOT recommend to ONLY sign up for doubles. Since doubles is single elimination, you lose once and then you are out of the tournament.

Challenger Eligibility Rules: Any player not ranked in the Top
25 of the age division they wish to play, may play in the
Challenger Circuit. (Using the most current standing list published
at the end of the month previous to the event). Playing up in an
age division is now allowed, as long as you are not in the top 25
of the current standing for that age division. Final Year End
Rnakings do not apply to this circuit any longer, only current
standings.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
