Quick Start Format
QuickStart Tennis is a new format to help kids ten and under learn and play the game of tennis. All players in the 8 & Under and Girls 10 & Under age divisions will get to play using our brand new Quick Start Format for play. The court is shorter and narrower for both age groups. The net height is lower, too, for 8 & Under. They will also use transition balls. The Boys 10 & Under and the 12 - 18s age divisions will play on a standard-sized court with a regular duty ball.

MANDATORY PARENTS MEETING! 8:30 AM
All players and parents are to be at the tennis center Saturday for a mandatory 8:30am players/parents meeting. We recommend that you get to the tennis center no later than 8:15am to check in and allow your player time to get their tournament t-shirt.

Rain Delay:
In case of morning rain showers, we will postpone play until weather clears. Currently, there is a 30% chance of early showers. However, we do intend to play all of the games on SATURDAY.
|
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Players must be able to serve and keep score. Players are not eligible to play if they have accumulated more than 200 points. (If a player has between 200 and 300 points, we will reveiw their record to determine eligibility.)

Tennis Balls
For the 8 & Under, a foam ball will be used (It moves slower and travels less distance), For the
10 & Under Girls, a low-compression ball will be used (It moves a little faster and travels farther than the ball used with the younger group, but it still has a lower bounce than a regulation ball).
Boys 10 & Under and ages 12 - 18 will use a regular duty tennis ball.
