The Rock Cup Junior CHALLENGER - SC L 4

Singles & Doubles will start on Saturday. No match play on Friday. First round of doubles will start around 3:00pm, second round will start around 5:00pm. Times will be adjusted, if needed, due to (3) set matches. Girl's 14s doubles draw will be posted once 1-2 rounds of singles has been completed. Girls 14s doubles will play at 3:00 & 5:00pm as well, the draw will be determined once singles matches are completed.

Singles Play is FEED-IN CONSOLATION TYPE DRAW. ALL PLAYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING THEIR NEXT MATCH TIMES ONLINE & ON THE DRAW SHEETS AT RHTC BEFORE & AFTER EACH MATCH. FEED-IN MEANS YOU MUST LOSE TWICE TO BE OUT OF THE TOURNAMENT. Doubles Play will be first match cosolation, meaning only after your first match, if you lose, you will play again.

For the 8 and under age division, the 60 foot court will be used with the appropriate low-compression balls for each match. There will be court monitors to help with scoring & rules for each match as well. This event will play an 8-game pro set with no-ad scoring.

All matches for singles & doubles will be best 2 out of 3 sets.

You must check-in 30 minutes prior to your posted match time. The 15 minute default rule will be strictly inforced. We ask that you check the draw sheets after each match to confirm your next match time. The main draw is a feed-in consolation type draw. Therefore, if you lose your second or third match, you will play again & you are not out of the tournament.

We will have ice cream on Saturday and Sunday from 12:30-2:30, provided by Majestic Cafe.

Continue on Cherry Road for 1 1/4 miles through 5-6 traffic lights. Tennis Center will be on your left. If you have come to Cherry Park or to Blockbuster you have gone to far. CiCi-s Pizza & TCBY are across the street, Little Caesar's Pizza, Penn Station, & Family Dollar are a block just before the center on the same side of the street. Call (803)-326-3842 if you need help. From I-85 take Route #5 or Route 161 towards Rock Hill/York, do not go all the way to Charlotte. Follow Route #5 into Rock Hill & turn left onto Cherry Road. Continue on Cherry Road for 2.1 miles and the tennis center will be on your right.

IMPORTANT!!! There are additional park spots behind the tennis center at Sullivan Middle School. We have only 35 spots at the bottom of the hill of the tennis center, with an additional 200 spots behind the courts at the middle school. DIRECTIONS: When you turn left/right onto Maplewood Lane. from Cherry Road, do not turn into the parking lot of the center, continue straight on Maplewood Lane. for 1/8 of a mile, then turn right onto Eden Terrace and then a quick right into the middle school lot by the tennis courts.

The Tournament Referee will make the decision to shorten the scoring format in the case of any inclement weather during the tournament.

Within walking distance: CiCi's Pizza, Sammy's Bar & Grill, Little Caesars Pizza, TCBY, Eat Well Family Restaurant, Penn Station Subs, Burk's BBQ, TOYO Sushi, Majestic Cafe. We also have a small concession area that provides snacks, sodas, bottled water & powerade to our customers. Within 1/4 - 1/2 mile drive: Chick-fil-a, Wendy's, Arby's, McDonalds, Subway, Bojangles, Jack-in-the-box, Starbucks, OutBack, Taco Bell, KFC, Thai House, Burger King, Jersey Mikes, Lee's, Wing King Cafe, & Firebonz.

If there are 3 or less entries in any age group, we may combine with another age group to make a larger draw. Please email the Director if you choose not to be moved up to another age group before Tuesday @ 12 noon. If you choose to withdraw from the tournament, you must go to the usta website & follow the same steps you completed to enter, but click on withdraw & follow directions. Once the draws are posted, we can not refund entry fees.

Awards will be given to the winner, finalist and consolation winner & finalist of each division for singles. Doubles winner & finalist will receive awards as well.

If there are not at least (3-4) entries in a group, that age group might be moved up to the next age group to make a larger draw size. If you DO NOT want to be moved up, you must email the Director by 10:00pm Tuesday night or you will be moved up & the draw will be completed. No Refunds after the draw & times have been completed.

The following events have been combined: Boy's 10s & 12s singles, Boy's 10s, 12s, & 14s doubles. Girl's 10s & 12s singles, Girl's 16s & 18s singles, Girl's 12s & 14s doubles.

Any avoidance requests must be received by Tuesday @ 10:00pm.
