We thank everyone for their patience today during our rain delays. There were about 10 matches that were scheduled for Wednesday that did not get played because it simply got too late to put them on. As a result, those matches need to be played on Thursday which will push some regularly scheduled matches back a bit. SOME MATCHES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR A LATER TIME. PLEASE CHECK YOUR DRAW CAREFULLY TO SEE IF YOUR MATCH HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED. No matches were rescheduled for an earlier time than originally scheduled.

The Austin Tennis Academy is a training program for junior tennis players who aspire to achieve excellence through tennis–it is a group of coaches, players and parents dedicated to pursuing excellence in tennis and life. The mission of the Austin Tennis Academy is to create a local junior tennis community, dedicated to developing students to their fullest potential in tennis, academics and character. One of our primary objectives is to help students use tennis to help them make the perfect college choice. The flagship service of the Austin Tennis Academy is the Academy Program. The Academy Program is tennis training and fitness training for top level players and those that aspire to be top level players. Top level in this case means Superchamp level in the USTA Texas Section and nationally ranked players in the United States and for those with the talent and drive, success at the National and International level. Players in the Academy program look at their lives through the prism of being a tennis athlete. They train on and off the court, they travel to meet the competition, they are focused on lofty goals in tennis performance. Matches will begin Wednesday 7/1 at 8:00 am. Doubles will be played first (starting at 8:00 am on Wednesday morning). Doubles will be completed by Thursday evening. Singles main draw semi's and finals will be completed on Friday 7/3. Singles consolation finals will be completed on Friday 7/3. Friday's matches will be played as early as possible to accomodate players traveling to national opens.

B12's will be at LTHS and WOT (4 miles and 10 min apart). LTHS and WOT are both less than 15 minutes from ATA. G12's will be at PTF. B14's A will be at ATA. B14 B will be at WOT. G14's will be at CTR.

The Austin Tennis Academy ATA is located in southwest Austin inside the Spanish Oaks community. Our physical address is 6800 Spanish Oaks Club Blvd., Austin, Texas 78738. ATA is located .2 miles west from the intersection of Hwy 620 and Hwy 71W. Look for the McCoy's Building Supply sign on your right and get in the left hand lane, make a left into Spanish Oaks, go to the second round about and we are on your left. After the entry deadline, please email me at brian.notis@austintennisacademy.com to withdraw. Please include the reason for your withdrawal. The USTA is requiring written notification (email is sufficient) for withdrawals after the entry deadline. There are no refunds for withdrawals after the deadline or for weather related cancellations. During the event, you should also call me at 512-426-0045 to withdraw because I may not be checking email frequently.

All singles matches will be best of 3 sets, regular scoring. Doubles will be 8 game pro-sets, regular scoring, with a tiebreaker at 8-all. All consolation matches will be best of 3 sets, regular scoring with a 10 point match tie break instead of a 3rd set.

Seeding and draw splits will be done by the USTA Texas Section office after the entry deadline.

Please register at your playing site 15-30 minutes before your first match. You will then also need to check in for each of your matches (including your first match) when you are ready to play (before your scheduled time, of course) and stay within earshot of the tournament desk.

July SCMZ Only! Players will receive no penalty points or no loss of ranking points for withdrawing from this SCMZ on Thursday, July 2nd because of the National Opens starting on Friday, July 3rd.
