Austin Tennis Academy Glimmer of Hope ZAT

A maximum of 32 players can be in one draw. The draws will be split randomly other than the seeds which are placed in each draw based on their overall seeding. Each player should be in only one of the draws in their age bracket. Be sure to check all of the draws in your division before becoming concerned that you are not in the tournament! Before the deadline, please check the applicant list to make sure you are entered.

The Austin Tennis Academy is a training program for junior tennis players who aspire to achieve excellence through tennis–it is a group of coaches, players and parents dedicated to pursuing excellence in tennis and life. The mission of the Austin Tennis Academy is to create a local junior tennis community, dedicated to developing students to their fullest potential in tennis, academics and character. One of our primary objectives is to help students use tennis to help them make the perfect college choice. The flagship service of the Austin Tennis Academy is the Academy Program. The Academy Program is tennis training and fitness training for top level players and those that aspire to be top level players. Top level in this case means Superchamp level in the USTA Texas Section and nationally ranked players in the United States and for those with the talent and drive, success at the National and International level. Players in the Academy program look at their lives through the prism of being a tennis athlete. They train on and off the court, they travel to meet the competition, they are focused on lofty goals in tennis performance. The Austin Tennis Academy ATA is located in southwest Austin inside the Spanish Oaks community. Our physical address is 6800 Spanish Oaks Club Blvd., Austin, Texas 78738. ATA is located .2 miles west from the intersection of Hwy 620 and Hwy 71W. Look for the McCoy's Building Supply sign on your right and get in the left hand lane, make a left into Spanish Oaks, go to the second round about and we are on your left. To withdraw after the deadline, please email me at brian.notis@austintennisacademy.com. Please include the reason for your withdrawal. The USTA is requiring written notification (email is sufficient) for withdrawals after the entry deadline. There are no refunds for withdrawals after the deadline or for weather related cancellations.

All 12's, 14's, 16's and 18's singles matches will be best of 3 sets, no-add scoring with a match tie-break instead of a 3rd set. 10’s will play 8 game pro-sets, no-add scoring, with a tiebreaker at 8-all.

Matches will be played at Austin Tennis Academy as well as other sites in the area. Please check the draw carefully (after they are posted) to see which site your first match will be played at. Seeding will be based on the ZAT Standings after the entry deadline as well as any additional results provided to the tournament committee. Recently aged up or aging up champ level players will be considered for seeding based on their champ ranking in the lower age group.

Please register at your playing site 15-30 minutes before your first match. You will then also need to check in for each of your matches (including your first match) when you are ready to play (before your scheduled time, of course) and stay within earshot of the tournament desk.
