MOST Boys singles start at 8AM Friday morning (except 1A BS). MOST Girls singles begin at 9:30 (except 1A GS). NO DOUBLES BEFORE 11AM. CHECK YOUR DRAWS FOR YOUR START TIME - AND CHECK THIS SITE OFTEN!

There is NO COACHES meeting. Report you to your FIRST ROUND match 30 minutes prior to starting time. In the event of rain - contact your site director... Coaching – a maximum of two coaches per team to be designated and identified by wrist bands, allowed to coach during the 90 second changeovers and at the end of the sets. These coaches must be listed on the registration form submitted at check in. Coaches are encouraged to work out simple problems that are generally covered by the “etiquette” of the game and the principals of good sportsmanship. (Board action 11-8-07)

FIRST: Top seed is based on last years State winners. SECOND: Seeds were based on top four district winners THEREFORE - SEEDS 1,2,3 & 4 are IN MOST CASES the district winners!!! THIRD: information sent in by coaches - consideration will be given to the district winners that have head-to-head wins over other district winners or USTA seeding information that warrant’s seeding. FORTH: If the top districts winners were not in the State Tournament last year AND no seeding is turned in by the coach - the TOP DISTRICT WINNERS will be "drawn out of a hat" for their placement. In most cases each bracket will have a player/team from a different district. IF you see a mistake PLEASE email me at KEVTENNIS@AOL.com - ONCE AGAIN - it is important that you check the draws before you leave for the tournament

For ALL MATCHES we will be playing AD Scoring all three sets. ALL Saturday’s Matches are scheduled for the Waco Regional Tennis Center. Scoring maybe adjusted due to weather

If you see that your name was spelled wrong on the draw - PLEASE contact me by EMAIL - Kevtennis@AOL.com - and I will correct it. Some of the regional Directors wrote the entries out by hand and I am not so sure I read them correctly. ALSO, if your FIRST name was not on the draw - I will be glad to include it if you email me. Tournament Entry Fee: Fees: There will be a $25 per player entry fee at the State Tournament. Make check payable to TAPPS and pay upon arrival. Use form on page 57 of the forms manual. Tennis Balls YOU MUST BRING TENNIS BALLS!!!! TENNIS BALLS - EACH ENTRY MUST BRING A NEW CAN (un-open) OF TENNIS BALLS. For each contest only one can of balls will be opened. At the conclusion of the match, the winner will take the un-open can of balls to the next match.

There is NO ADMISSION FEE FOR GUEST at any site

Sportsmanship: Sportsmanship – all players, teams, coaches and fans shall exhibit good sportsmanship and proper tennis etiquette. Specific care should be given to improper cheering and “Razzing” Officials USTA Officials will officiate the tournament, rules of the USTA shall prevail, with exceptions noted in TAPPS manual.

McLennan Community College Courts- MCC MCC Courts are located off Lake Shore Drive (very close to Waco Regional Tennis Center). From I35 take MLK West along north side of Brazos River to Lake Shore Drive (app. 3 miles) take a left on Lake Shore and first left after you cross the river (Second light). Robinson High School Courts – RHS Robinson High School Tennis Courts are located in Robinson! Not far from Waco. From I35 head east on Hwy 77 (At roundabout/Circle) for about 3.1 miles to Foster Ave in Robinson off Hwy 77 take a right and courts will be on your left 1/4 mile. www.robinson.k12.tx.us/highschool/sports/tennis/index.html Site Director: Jack Gregory

Midway High School Courts are located off Hewitt Drive and Panther Way. From I35 take the 328 exit west. That road is Sun Valley. Take a right on Hewitt Drive and a right at the first light (Panther Way) courts will be on the left ¼ mile next to soccer field. Site Director is: Leni Foster

Waco Regional Tennis Center – WRTC Waco Regional Tennis Center is located off Lake Shore Drive. From I35 take MLK West along North side of Brazos River to Lake Shore Drive (app. 3 miles) take a left - tennis center 1/4 mile on left. Site Director/Tournament Director Darrell Thompson
