Alll expressways are clear and you should all be able to be here safe and on time.
TOURNAMENT WILL BE DONE EARLY!
Our tournament will begin on Friday and end on Sunday (no Monday and Tuesday matches). Matches begin at 1pm on Friday with last matches on at 7pm, on Saturday we begin at 2pm with last matches on at 7pm and on Sunday we begin at 12pm with last matches on at 6pm.
FIRST MATCH TIMES
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY because your win/loss time is also included and can be confusing. THOSE OF YOU PLAYING TWO AGE DIVISIONS - there are many times listed by your name. Please come at the earliest day and time listed. If you are confused, please email me and I will confirm it with you, PattyL58@comcast.net. As recommended by the USTA we do not post draws till the first round matches go on. We post first and second round start times on this home page under "Future Match Info" (above on left) by Wednesday, December 24th at 5pm. Please be careful when reading your first match start time since the second match times are also listed.
THIRD ANNUAL HOLIDAY SHOOTOUT TOURNAMENT AT COLLEGE PARK
Please join us for our third annual "HOLIDAY SHOOTOUT" tournament. The BG12-10's are in the Level 6 Challenger category which earns points that accumulate toward a midwest standings/rankings number. The BG 8's are in the Level 7 Satellite category, not earning any points. Any players not nine years old yet are encouraged to play. We will have a first match consolation as to guarantee at least two matches for every player. College Park is one of the nicest clubs in the Chicago area with unobstucted viewing for all parents. Open to the courts below. We would love to have you play our tournament.
GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
* This is a Level 6 Challenger tournament for the BG14, 12 & 10's that is open to both Unranked and Ranked players. In the BG8 divisions, the tournament is Level 7 Satellite tournament which does not earn points.
* Midwest and Chicago District points earned for each round won in main and consolation draw of the Level 6. Trophies given to Champion and Finalist in both Main and Consolation Draws.
* All matches will be held on 9 spacious indoor hard courts at College Park Athletic Club with unobstructed viewing on each court.

USTA MEMBERSHIP
For the BG8's, this may be the first tournament you play so before signing up you must become a USTA member. Go to usta.com to do this. At the end of the process you will receive your new USTA membership number. Please write it down. In four weeks you will receive a membership card to use for other tournaments.
USTA CONTACT INFORMATION
Procedure for tournament registration: because of Privacy Laws, your contact information from USTA membership doesn't show up in the Tournament Directors' software anymore. Only what you indicate during the registration process shows up. We have no way of contacting you if you leave these areas blank. For instance, your opponent is sick. You may make an extra trip here and not need to. You must indicate all phone numbers, home, cell (a must!), work and your email address on each registration, EACH and EVERY time, for each and every tournament you register for.
MATCH FORMAT
We will have a first match consolation as to guarantee at least two matches for every player and we will finish the entire consolation. Our match format will be best two out of three sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of the third set (Supertiebreaker). BG8 will play full sets and the same format. College Park is one of the nicest clubs in the Chicago area with unobstucted viewing for all parents and open to the courts below. We would love to have you play our tournament.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY
Tentative schedule is as follows: Friday 12pm, Saturday 2pm, Sunday 12pm, Monday 12pm (if needed) and Tuesday 12pm (if needed). If you have a conflict please do not sign up for our tournament. We will not be able to accomodate any special scheduling.
BG14 ADDED ALONG WITH EXTRA DAY!
We have added the Boys and Girls 14 and under divisions with a first match consolation. We have also added Tuesday, December 30th but may not use this day or Monday, December 29th depending on the number of players that register.
NEW SEEDING REGULATIONS
The number of players seeded shall equal a power of two (for example 2,4,8,16,32). The maximum ratio of players seeded shall be one in three, except that any draw may have two seeds. No more seeded players at #'s 5,6,7,9,10,11,12,13,14,15, etc. For reference Friends of Court 2007, Page 73, FAC Comment II.A-1

RESTAURANT
Our restaurant at College Park will be open during the tournament for smoothies, sandwiches, soup, etc.
SELECTION PROCESS
Limited draw although we always try our best to select everyone. Selections will be done by most current PPR (points per round) Midwest BG14, BG12 & BG10 Midwest Standings and if needed, CDTA BG14,BG12 & BG10 standings lists. We shouldn't have a problem getting all the BG8's in the draw.
