The Tournament Committee will list players for the tournament beginning May 1st. Players must register using the USTA online registration sytem. Players may inquire about their match times beginning May 2nd from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. Players may email bclay@cherokeetcc.org or call 404-237-5427.

Please note that the tournament is a clay court tournament and due to the water drought in the Southeast, changes concerning the tournament may occur. Notification of these changes would be listed by May 1, 2008 if warranted.

Entries will be done through the on-line tennislink registration system at www.USTA.com. All entries must have the approval and selection of the ASI tournament committee. Formal invitations will not be sent this year. The DEADLINE for entries will be FRIDAY, APRIL 25, 2008.

Players may ONLY enter two events, but may ONLY play in one singles event. Players must play in the apppropiate AGE group. A player is eligible for specified divisions provided he attains that age by December 31, 2008.

The age groups for the men's events will be: 30sd, 35sd, 40sd, 45sd, 50sd, 55sd, 60sd,65sd, and 70sd.

First event fee is: $80 per player singles OR doubles Second event fee is $50 per player. NOTE: You are charged a processing fee by the USTA that is in addition to the entry fees. IF you are put into the tournament AFTER the online deadline for singles or doubles - the ENTRY FEE will be $81.13 for the first event and $54 for the second event. (This is for the entry plus the processing fee)

The events will be single elimination events. No consolation rounds. ****There will be playoffs for 3rd & 4th place. The singles draws are scheduled to be online Monday, May 5 at 2:00 p.m. Singles matches will begin on Wednesday, May 7. ****Doubles deadline is Wednesday, May 7 at NOON.**If you sign up for doubles with a partner you are expected to sign up through the USTA online system.You will need your partner's USTA number. **Some preliminary doubles matches will begin Thursday, May 8 starting at 4:00 p.m.

Seeding will be posted for each of the age groups for player input.

Players may start checking in on Wednesday, May 7 at 8:30 a.m. ALL players must check in at Cherokee Town Club before their first round match.

The Wilson US OPEN regular felt ball will be used. Scoring for all matches will be 2 out of 3 regular set scoring and a 12 point tie break used in any set at 6 all. **The Tournament Committee reserves the right to change scoring in case of inclement weather. The Point Penalty system will be enforced. Roving umpires will be on site at all times.

Events are scheduled to be on clay. Events, as required due to inclement weather, may be played at night, on hard courts and/or indoors at available facilities.

ALL players will be required to wear collared tennis shirts. NO T-shirts or sleeveless shirts will be allowed on the court for practice or play. Tennis attire/shoes will be expected for play.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Marriott in Vinings at 2450 Paces Ferry Road. This hotel is about 20 minutes from Cherokee Town Club depending on traffic. ASI players rate will be $75.00 plus tax per night for "Double or King rooms".
