Tournament Dates/Days of Play:
Play will begin Friday, April 11th and finish Sunday, April 13th.

No telephone entries will be accepted.

Grand Prix Challenger Entry fee:
The entry fee is $35.00. The USTA has added an additional administrative charge to your entry fee as follows: The total will be $38.13 for one event and $41.00 for two events per player.

Play Format:
Singles with FMLC and doubles. Singles will be 2 out of 3 sets with a 7 point tiebreak at 6 games all. The 10 point tiebreak can be used in lieu of the 3rd set at the referee's discretion. Doubles will be an 8 game pro-set with a 10 point tiebreak at 8 games all.

Balls:
Wilson US Open balls will be used for this tournament.

Warm-Up:
Warm-up limited to 5 minutes.

Lights:
Lights will be used if necessary.

Rules:
USTA rules will govern all play.

Draws:
The draws will be posted by Wednesday 12:00 pm. Each participant is responsible for finding out what time he or she is scheduled to play.

Starting Times:
Will be available online Wednesday, April 9th after 4:30 p.m. Look for FUTURE MATCH REPORT on homepage of tournament and it will provide first match times.

Check-in:
Participants are to check-in at the tournament desk 30 minutes prior to the time he or she is scheduled to play.
|
USTA Membership:
Current USTA membership is required.
|
Point Penalty System:
The point penalty system will be used.
|
Doubles Registration
Online registration only. If you sign up for doubles online without a partner the Tournament director will attempt to place you with a partner.
|
Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather, the referee has the discretion to change sites and use alternate scoring.
|
Awards
Awards will given to the champions and finalist of the main draws.
|
Amenties:
Lunch will be provided by Pizza Hut on Saturday. Players will also receive a gift from the tournament.

Eastbound from Spartanburg/Greenville follow I-26 toward Charleston. Take I-77 north toward Charlotte. Take the Garners Ferry Road exit toward Sumter. Drive approximately 3.2 miles to Trotter Road. Turn left onto Trotter Road. The Caughman Road Tennis Center is one mile up on the left.

Take I-26 #64A toward Columbia. Get over one lane and follow I-26 toward Charleston. Take I-77 north toward Charlotte. Take the Garners Ferry Road exit toward Sumter. Drive approximately 3.2 miles to Trotter Road. Turn left onto Trotter Road. The Caughman Road Tennis Center is one mile up on the left.

Take Exit 76A (Charlotte/Charleston exit). Follow I-77 South toward Charleston. Take the Garners Ferry Road exit toward Sumter. Drive approximately 3.2 miles to Trotter Road. Turn left onto Trotter Road. The Caughman Road Tennis Center is one mile up on the left.

Challenger Eligibility Rules: Any player not ranked in the Top
25 of the age division they wish to Play, may play in the
Challenger Circuit. (Using most current standing list published at
the end of the month previous to the event). Playing up in an age
division is now allowed, as long as you are not in the top 25 of
the current standing for that age division. Final Year End Rankings
do not apllpy to this circuit any longer, only current
standings.
Only those eligible for Challenger status may enter

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, April 6, 2008 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
