TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
TUESDAY - July 22nd - Player Registration 2:00-3:30 pm, Coaches Meeting 2:15-3:30 pm, Parents Seminar 2:30-3:30 pm, Orientation and Seminar 3:45-5:15 pm, Team Meeting and Pictures 5:15-6:00 pm. All of these activities will take place at the University Park Marriott, see note on hotels below for address. Welcome Party 6:30-8:30 pm at Liberty Park, dinner and on-court games - bring your racquet! The entrance to Liberty Park is located at 600 East and 900 South. WEDNESDAY THRU SATURDAY - Practice starts at 7:00 am and matches start at 8:00 am. SATURDAY, July 26th - Player Banquet and Sportsmanship Awards Ceremony. 7:00-9:00 pm in the Ballroom at the University Park Marriott. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY!!! SUNDAY, July 27th - Last day of play - DEPARTURE NO EARLIER THAN 4:00 PM!!!

SEMINARS
There will be two seminars scheduled on July 22nd, one for parents, and the other for all players. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY!!!

MATCH FORMAT
Round Robin format. Each boys' and girls' team will have 6 players. Boys' and Girls' Teams will be combined. There will be two flights of six teams of combined boys' and girls' teams. Singles matches will be best of 3 sets. Doubles matches will be 8-game Pro Sets with a 7 Point Tiebreak at 8 games all. Singles matches will count one point each. Doubles matches will count one point each. Mixed doubles matches will count one point for the team score but not for ranking. Each team match consists of 18 points (12 singles plus 6 doubles). In the case of a 9-9 tie, the team that won the majority of the doubles matches will be declared the winner of the team match. In the case of a total tie (no majority winner of the doubles) the Section Coach will designate one boy and one girl to play a mixed doubles "Super Match Tie-Break" to determine the team match winner. Defaults, walkovers, withdrawals and retirements count as losses. All singles and doubles matches MUST be played to completion.

OFFICIATING
Play will be subject to the rules of the USTA. the USTA Point Penalty System will be enforced throughout the tournament NO UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT WILL BE TOLERATED. A USTA certified referee and certified umpires will be present at all playing locations.

DRESS CODE
Proper tennis attire is required. Casual wear for evening activities is appropriate. Best judgment is appreciated. Questionable attire is subject to the Site Director's discretion.

DEPARTURE TIME
TO ALLOW TIME TO GET TO THE AIRPORT, PLEASE SCHEDULE YOUR DEPARTURE FOR AFTER 4:00 PM! The last matches on Sunday are scheduled TO START at 12:30 PM. It will take you approximately 30 minutes to get to the airport, plus add AT LEAST an hour and one-half to go through check-in and Security.

PLAYER FEES
In case of inclement weather - allowance for indoor court time must be made. Rates are per match - $8.00 per player in Singles, $5.00 per player in Doubles. About $65.00 should cover the week if it rains every day. The Coaches will be collecting $12.00 from each player to cover the costs of practice courts each morning and a DVD to be made from pictures and action shots taken during the tournament. These DVD's will be mailed to each participant after the tournament so that we can include pictures from the player banquet, final matches and Awards presentation. The DVD's will be terrific!

STATE HOLIDAY ON JULY 24th!
Please note that July 24th is a State holiday. Travel in the downtown area will be limited, and you should expect delays. If you are staying downtown, please allow extra time to travel to your match sites. On the bright side - there will be some FABULOUS fireworks displays that night!!!

Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, June 25, 2008 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
