We do not list the site, since you must check in at Rome Floyd prior to you first match anyway.
For planning purposes, we plan to play 2 rounds in all singles events on Saturday.
Two rounds of Consolations and one round of main draw will be played Sunday, starting at 8:00a.m.
The time between match starts is usually 4 horus, or more.
If you want to know if 2 players are scheduled at the same site, compare the 'Morse Code' following the match time.
If the dots and dashes are the same, the sites are the same. If not, they aren't.
Doubles will start on Sunday after singles.

Doubles
Doubles deadline is Saturday, July 14, 5:00 p.m.
If you want to be considered for seeding, turn in your written record by the deadline.
If you registered with no partner, you must put partner's name on the doubles sheet at Rome TC.
You may e-mail your partner by Friday 8:00 p.m., as well.
If you have no partner, but want to play, put your name on the "need partner" sheet at Rome TC.
If you don't do one of the above, you will not be in the doubles draw.
Doubles play will start on Sunday after singles. One or two rounds will be played.
Subsequent rounds will be played in the morning at the start of the day (weather pemitting).

Sunday Morning Chapel Service
A 15-20-minute non-denominational chapel service will be held at Rome Floyd Tennis Center on Sunday at 7:30 a.m.. The courts will be open by 6:30 for warm-up. Play at satellite sites will begin 8:30 to permit everyone who wishes to attend the service

Scoring Formats
Main Draw singles will play the best of 3 tiebreak sets.
Consolation singles and all 10 and under events play the best of 2 tiebreak sets with a match tiebreak (first to 10 by 2) played in lieu of a third set.
Co-ed 8 singles will play the best of 2 "Short Sets" with a match tiebreak (first to 10 by 2) in lieu of a 3rd set. (Short Sets are sets that start at 2-all and played out as usual.)
Doubles will play 8-game pro-sets with a match tiebreak (first to 10 by 2) played at 8-all.

Rest periods between singles matches
The following heat policy will be implemented: When players are scheduled to play 2 singles matches in one day, they will be offered a rest period equal to the length of their first match (up to 3 hours). They will be offered a minimum of 2 hours rest regardless of first match length. This rest period guideline does not apply to doubles.

5-Minute Scheduling will be used.
Because of a new USTA-mandated procedure for handling lateness penalties for players in groups of matches scheduled at the same time, matches for this year's event will be scheduled in 5-minute increments. Scheduling every 5 minutes will mean that very few matches will be scheduled as part of a group, except for the large group of matches that will start each day.
Check your match time carefully so that you won’t be late. If you like this new scheduling procedure, money and gifts will be graciously accepted. If you don't like it, we'll forward your complaint to the USTA.

Directions to Rome Floyd Tennis Center from I-75 Exit # 290
Go west (left if you are coming from Atlanta) on GA Hwy 20.
Eventually, GA Hwy 20 will merge into US Hwy 411 Follow 411 into Rome.
As you enter Rome, you pass a Ford dealership on the Right,
Go past the Dean Ave. Exit and immediately take a RIGHT at the next exit onto US 27 North (the exit will be marked "Rome").
Go 2.3 miles to the 5th traffic light (Checkers on the corner - Hurry... Double Cheese Melts 2 for $3.00!)
Turn LEFT onto Broad Street and go 0.3 mile to the 3rd traffic light at 5th Avenue (El Zarape on the corner)
Turn RIGHT and go 0.2 mile to the 3rd traffic light at W. 3rd Street
Turn LEFT on W. 3rd Street.
Rome Floyd Tennis Center will be 0.2 mile on the RIGHT.

Alternate Directions to Rome from Atlanta and points south of I-20
From downtown Atlanta take I-20 west to Thornton Road (north, i.e. turn right)
From Atlanta Airport take Camp Creek Parkway. (west, the only way it goes)
From I-285 southwest of Atlanta take Camp Creek Parkway (west, left if going north on I-285). (After you cross I-20 (Camp Creek is called Thornton Road)
Stay on Thornton Road approximately 35 miles to Rockmart. This road will change names several times (various peoples’ names, but is mostly US Hwy 278.
As you approach Rockmart, there will be a Sonic Drive-In on the right.
At the traffic light just past Sonic, turn right on GA 101.
Stay on GA 101 approximately 18 miles to Rome.
After you cross US Hwy 411, go 1/2 mile to the first traffic light.
Turn left and immediately to the right and stay on Hwy 101.
Go 1.6 miles to W.3rd St. (1st light past Broad Street.)
Turn right on W. 3rd St. Tennis center is on the left.

Satellite Sites
Up to 5 satellite sites will be used. The distance from the main site is between 2.75 miles and 7.5 miles. Directions to all sites will be available at check-in at Rome Tennis Center. Directions to some of the sites are below.

Directions to Alto Park (ALT)
Turn RIGHT out of tennis center onto W. 3rd St. Go 0.1 mile to dead end.
Turn RIGHT.
Go approximately 0.4 mile to 1st traffic light.
Turn LEFT onto Shorter Avenue (GA Hwy 20).
Go a little more than 2 miles to 1st traffic light past DAIRY QUEEN (on Left).
Turn LEFT on Burnett Ferry Road. (The park is on this road, all appearances to the contrary.)
Go approximately 2.7 miles to Alto Park.
Turn RIGHT into Alto Park and follow driveway (it sort of turns to the right.)

Directions to Berry College
Turn RIGHT out of tennis center onto W. 3rd St. Go 0.1 mile to dead end.
Turn RIGHT.
Go approximately 0.4 mile to 1st traffic light.
Go straight on Martha Berry Hwy (US 27) for 2 miles to 7th traffic light.
Turn left at traffic light into entrance to Berry College.
After entrance gate, go to traffic circle.
Go 270 degrees around traffic circle (3/4 of the way around) and turn right on Opportunity Dr. (no sign on the circle).
Follow Opportunity by new athletic complex to fork at Morton Hall (a building in the middle of the road).
Take the right fork
Go to first street on right, and turn right onto Vicktory.
The parkint lot will be on left next to gymnasium.
Tennis Courts are on adjacent to parking lot.

Turn RIGHT out of tennis center onto W. 3rd. Go 0.1 mile to dead end.
Turn LEFT onto Hwy 101 (2nd Ave.)
Go approximately 1.6 miles to Stop Sign.
Go STRAIGHT 0.6 mile to US Hwy 27 South (sign says Gadsden - Cedartown).
Go approximately 0.9 mile to Darlington Drive-Old Lindale Road exit.
At end of Exit ramp turn LEFT.
At Stop Sign turn RIGHT onto Darlington Dr.
Darllinton is approximately 0.5 mile on RIGHT just after the Railroad Track.

Continue STRAIGHT ahead on Martin Luther King (changes name to Kingston Road) for approximately 1.7 mile.

Look for sign that says "GOLF Driving Range." (It is easier to see than the Etowah Park sign.)

Turn RIGHT out of tennis center onto W. 3rd.
Go 0.1 mile to dead end.

Go STRAIGHT 0.6 mile to US Hwy 27 South (sign says Gadsden - Cedartown).
Go approximately 5.1 miles to Georgia Highlands College.
The College is on the LEFT (just past traffic light with Kangaroo and Hardees on right).

Seeding
Seeds were determined with the Southern Standings as the starting point. Since almost a third of the players were from outside Georgia, and the same data is used to compute both STA nd GTA standings, we elected to use only STA standings as a starting point. Player position was adjusted based on overall player record and the occasional head-to-head encounters between players on the cusp between groups. If you have any comments, please let us know. However, do not compare the rankings of players. Mere ordering based on point accumulation is not how Friend at Court, USTA Tennis Rules and Regulations Handbook, requires seeding to be done.
