Registration
Friday, 15Jun07 at the Caughman Road Tennis Center between 2 PM and 4 PM. MANDATORY PLAYERS MEETING at 4 PM. Registration Party- Pizza sponsored by Pizza Hut and coke for all players, parents and coaches follows the meeting. Music will be presented by the Coke Cola Company. Registration continues until 7 PM. Doubles registration can be done at this time.

Entries and Selection
All players must be endorsed by their state endorser and enter online only.

All players must have a birth certificate or green card on file in the Southern office. Players should go to the link above to see if their name is on file. Medical Releases
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of the tournament registration. Please download and bring this completed with your or fax to us at [ (803) 788-0392) ] to speed up the registration process. Players are not allowed on the court without this release.

Boy's and Girl's Singles (128 compass draw) with playoffs first 1st thru 4th place. Each player is guaranteed multiple matches. The Boys and Girls doubles will be a 64 draw

Doubles Sign Up
Doubles sign up must be done by 1 of the following ways: (1) phone (803) 788 3001, (2) fax 1 (803) 788 0392, (3) Email rctc@rcrc.state.sc.us, (4) or in person at The Caughman Road Tennis Center or The Richland County Tennis Center. The doubles registration will close on Saturday, 16Jun07 at 12 noon. The doubles will begin Sunday 17Jun07 as early as 12 noon. Please verify that your doubles entry has been received.

Entry: Online Registration Only
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by 8Jun07, 11:59PM Eastern Time. Players must register before entry deadline closes despite the fact that your qualifier may not have completed. Your credit card will not be charged if not selected.

Eligibility
All entrants must not turn 13 before or during the month of the tournament and must be endorsed by their representative state.

Alternates
If you are an alternate, you may check the internet after 12 noon on Wednesday 13Jun07 to find out if you have made the draw. All applicants NOT admitted to the main draw will be listed in order, to be moved into the main draw if/when spaces become available. The order will be based on the Southern Standings. To find the order go to Alternates by events list no earlier than 12PM noon Wednesday 13Jun07 and daily thereafter. If you are an alternate and do NOT get in by Wednesday you can stand by as an on site alternate on Saturday 16Jun07. Alternates on stand by must check in at main site.

Match Play and Scoring Format
Both the Boys and the Girls will play in a 128 compass draw. All singles play will begin Saturday 16Jun07. Each player will be guaranteed multiple matches. Warm-up will be limited to 5 minutes including serves. Deuce Add scoring will be used in all matches. The 7 point set tiebreak will be used at 6 all. A Match Tie Break will be used in lieu of a 3rd set. Doubles will use the 8 game pro set with a 7 point tiebreak at 8 all. In case of inclement weather or other circumstances the referee reserves the right to use modified scoring to expedite matches.

Point Penalty System
The USTA point penalty system will be in effect and will be enforced. Proper respect will be shown to all players from opponents as well as spectators.

Balls
The official ball for the Southern 12's will be the Wilson US Open Ball.
|
|
Coaching
No Coaching is permitted unless during the suspension of play.
|
|
National Tournament Endorsers
Endorsers will be present at the Southern 12's. Please direct all questions regarding national tournaments to them.
|
|
Awards
Awards will be given to 1st-4th place in singles, 1st-2nd place in doubles and special sportsmanship awards to the deserving boy and girl as voted on by the officials.

Please do not bring pets into the tennis facilities
Richland county poilcy prohibits any pets on the county tennis facilities
