NOTE!!!......New Match Check-in Regulations......NOTE!!!
New USTA Regulations require that you MUST check-in by the time your match is scheduled. For example, if 6 matches are scheduled at 11:30 am, ALL matches scheduled at that time will be called and the lateness clock will start for any players who have not checked in (even if only a few courts are available). The referee will determine the order that matches will be put on the court, but a player DOES NOT escape the latemess penalty just because his/her match is not one of the first matches from that time group sent out to the court. The check-in desk will be open at least 30 minutes before the first matches every day. DON'T BE DEFAULTED -- BE SURE YOU CHECK-IN BY YOUR SCHEDULED TIME! This does not mean sitting outside within calling distance -- it means reporting in to the check-in desk in the tournament room.
|
|
Be Ready to Play
When you check in, you should be ready to go on the court. This means you should have on your match clothing and have your racquets, water jug, etc. with you. It is not the time to grab a late snack or visit the restroom. After check in, the several matches will be considered "on deck" and asked to stay in the tournament room until their court is assigned. Other players who have checked in but not "on deck" must stay in the patio area outside the tournament room. The lateness clock will start if your match is called and you have checked in and "disappeared" from the area.

Burns Park Playing Site
The site for all matches is the Burns Park Tennis Center, 4000 Joe Poch Lane, N. Little Rock, AR, 72118, less than a mile from Exit 150 off of I-40. The pro shop phone number is 501-791-8585. You may call the pro shop to check on practice courts, get information on stringing, etc. If you call at a time that the shop is unattended, DO NOT leave a message -- call back at another time. During the tournament please remember that we are GUESTS at this facility and PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF -- there are plenty of trash cans available. Please keep access to the tournament room and the posted drawsheets open for everyone and do not block these areas with chairs or a racquet bag obstacle course.
