Notes
Wilson Nights are fun, non-elimination Friday night match play
events for green and yellow ball juniors. Many of the best players
in the Metroplex began their competitive career by falling in love
with tennis while attending Wilson Nights. FYI, Wilson Nights have
been around for over 25 years!
If you are looking for non-stop, non-elimination singles and
doubles match play, then you'll love Wilson Nights! You'll want to
get signed up ASAP as only the first 36 players will be accepted
into the event. If you are 14 years or younger you are eligible to
play--if you are 15 years old or older you are too old for Wilson
Nights!
Beginner through Challenger tournament players will love the
non-elimination format--and we'll make sure you play other players
at your level. Our goal is for everyone to win a couple of matches
and lose a couple of matches.
Please note that no Champs or Super Champs are eligible to
participate. There will be lots of Wilson Nights offered in
2018--the next couple are May 11, May 18...and more dates will be
announced soon!
Remember, the first 36 players for each event are "in" and we'll
keep a waiting list for overflow players, so get signed up right
away--you can register online at usta.com (a usta number or free
usta account number is required for online registration) or you can
register by emailing Sally Frame at sally10s@me.com.
All matches will be played at Lakes Tennis Academy, 4000 Legacy
Drive, Frisco 75034 (972) 668-5253. Check in starts at 6:15 PM and
play starts at 6:30 PM. Our goal is for everyone to play at least 3
sets of singles, and a set or two of doubles.
Don't worry about signing up with a doubles partner--most players
will find a partner during the event. The $35 entry fee includes
singles, doubles, snacks, drinks, and sno cones. We'll end the
evening with a Grand Prize drawing at 10:15 PM for a big prize and
lots of smaller prizes, too.
PS--although everyone will sign up in an "event" like B12 singles,
we are going to pair players up for matches based on their skill
level. So--12's may play 14's, boys and girls may play each other,
etc.
And--you do not need to be a USTA member to play this event. If you
don't have a USTA membership you can get a FREE USTA account and
use that number to register online.
Player Selection TypeNo Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to USTA Members, USTA Members who have an expired membership and Non-USTA Members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, April 26, 2018 11:59:00 PM Central Time.
