Location: The tournament will be held at Pennypacker
Country Club, which is located at the following address: 120
Pennypacker Rd, Downingtown, PA 19335
You may be stopped by a gate attendant. Just say that you are here
for the USTA tournament.
What to Bring: Please bring your tennis racquet and water
bottle. Snacks will be provided, but you may want to pack food if
you want more than that.
Amenities: You will have access to both a mens and a women's
bathroom on site. We will also have light snacks and refreshments.
Trophies will be given to the winners and runners up of each
division.
Equipment and Format: All players are required to use a 25
inch racquet or smaller. Players will use orange balls on a 60 foot
court.
Start Time: If the weather holds, this tournament will start
in the morning and run until early afternoon. Please be prepared to
play in the morning.
Weather and Backup: There is NO INDOOR BACKUP for this
tournament. We may delay the tournament once if the weather looks
to clear in the afternoon. If we cancel it, there will be no makeup
date.
Level of Play: This is a USTA Level 8 ENTRY LEVEL
Tournament. Players get no ranking points for this tournament, but
may get youth progression points. This tournament is designed for
players who want to begin competitive play and maybe step up from
Junior Team Tennis. This is NOT for parents and players who want to
play and win ONLY for youth progression points.. Players should be
able to serve, rally and keep score on their own. Players will also
have to call their own lines and should be able to do so.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Friday, July 20, 2018 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
