Hello Everyone,
We are looking forward to a great weekend of tennis in Georgetown
this Friday and Saturday. We will have two 12 and under matches on
Friday evening at 6:30 at Georgetown Country Club. All other
matches will be on Saturday, July 21.
Due to warm temperatures, I have split our divisions and created
smaller draws to ensure that no one plays more than 3 matches per
day. I also created a 16s division for kids ages 15 and 16. If you
registered your 15/16 year old in 18s, you can find their draw
information now in one of the 16s divisions. Points towards
end-of-year standings will be awarded to players in all draws in
their respective divisions, this means that 16s will receive points
in the 18s division.
All 10 and under matches will take place at Berry Creek Country
Club (449 Champions Drive). 10 and under kids will play 2 sets
(no-ad scoring) to 4 games, with at 7 point tie-break in case they
split sets. I will have court monitors assisting with scoring in
case of tie-break.
12 and under matches will take place at Georgetown Country Club
(1500 Country Club Road).
14s, 16s, and 18s will be played at Georgetown East View High
School Patriot Tennis Center (4490 East University).
All 12s, 14s, and 18s matches will play 8-game no-ad pro sets with
a 7 point tie break at 8-8.
All players will receive a tournament gift of a sweatband upon
check-in and after reading and signing the players (sportsmanship)
oath. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and Consolation in
each division.
Please encourage your kids to hydrate beginning now. Pre-hydration
is essential to combating heat-related issues when competing.
Thank you for registering your child for the tournament! Please
email me if you have any questions.
